A possible de-commitment from DE Denzel Ware looming
The rumblings this weekend surrounding Alabama DE Denzel Ware have been that he has possibly de-committed from Kentucky. The 4-star DE from the class of 2014 was one of the impressive early commitments for Mark Stoops and the Kentucky staff. As of right now, the word is not official, but Ware removed the Kentucky information from his Twitter profile.
Reports out of Florida, where Ware is apparently planning to commit, state that the Gators may not be ready to accept his commitment just yet. Derek Tyson of ESPN says the official word could come sometime on Monday.

Well, the way I look at it is if they don’t want to be here then so be it. In Stoops we trust.
Interesting especially in light that someone this week accused Muschamp of giving $ while at Auburn.
Not at all unusual – never take an “early” commitment, especially in football, seriously. Even if a player commits, you have to keep recruiting him non-stop until he signs his LOI. This kid may commit to 3 or 4 different schools before he signs. He may very well end up at UK in the end.
Nice while it lasted. We’ll see more of this I’m afraid.

Heard rumors this morning about this and that Joker may have swayed him with some negative comments about Kentucky. It was on the radio with no source, so TIFWIW. He always said while he was here that he wouldn’t “negative recruit”, so I hope this isn’t the case.
He’ll change his mind again once he gets a whiff of Gainsville and has to fight off a mosquito the size of a tank.
Didn’t complain when Jason Hatcher decommited from USC. We have to get used to it. This is college football.

The kid thought he was signing originally with Bob Stoops , found out it was Mark, at uk. Come on people. Did yall really beleive Uk can really compete getting 4 stars against the big boys?
I don’t think Flordia has too really offer a recruit money to pick them over UK in football. lol
Uk football in recruiting is similar too what most teams in conference have to go threw with us in BB.

This is exactly why I don’t go out of my way to follow football recruiting. A “commitment” means absolutely nothing.
I hope Denzel joins the BBN when it’s all said and done…big-time player that could shine under Stoops

#21 if you ask me, the mystique of Stoops as new coach has been a tremendous boost that got UK an improved recruiting class this year, although still last in the SEC. I suspect UK will be lucky to go 4-8 next season, so dunno if recruits will see our style and want to come, as you say, or they will see our W-L record and decide that the more things change, the more they stay the same.

while not good news, I take it in stride…as I am sure Stoops and his assistants do as well…we have been on the positive end of several de-commits from other schools since Stoops arrival…and, just as we went after players who had already committed to other schools, other schools still come after our commits…it’s never over until that LOI is signed, sealed, and delivered…live by sword and die by sword…the college football recruiting world is brutal…and you will always win some and lose some…does suck tho…no question…but I do wonder…why is it much more prevalent in football (these de-commits) than in basketball? It happens in basketball too (i.e. Terrence Jones/Washington/UK), but not that often as it does in football…why is that so? Thoughts?
the kid is a punk. who commits to a school like FSU then decommits and then commits to UK , and then decommits again to go to Florida in a 3 month span? the kid wants attention and after looking through his twitter account he sounds like a punk and a thug. UK doesn’t need players like him. we need players that think about their teammates, not themselves.
The funny thing about football is that you really don’t kick it all that much. In basketball they used to actually shoot the ball through a basket. But they don’t use baskets anymore. I have a basket at my house. We use it in the garden. Also, you tackle people in football.
No big deal. This kid has now committed to 3 schools. I’m not surprised. This is how football recruiting goes.

When we get a decommitted kid it’s on the up and up. When someone gets one of our commitments dirty things have happened. Just let the kid be.
No need to panic yet, but this is a product of “Big Boy” recruiting. If we are going to recruit with the front runners this will happen from time to time.

on a similiar note #35 think about this in light,BBN…before when a kid decommitted from UK he ended up going to arkansas little rock or western kentucky……somewhere out of the chance to play in the SEC…..Now if he decommits he is going to perennial SEC East power Florida???? This bodes well for UK football folks… to be on the same level in less than 3 months to be grabbing SEC power talent with the big boys…Just give it time BBN, just give it time.
