Meet Frank Fitzpatrick. He is a columnist of some kind at the Philadelphia Inquirer and, after a quick scan of his recent writings, he appears to be some sort of blowhard, shock jock type of writer – something that seems so to be completely atypical for that market. But, that normally would only mildly irritate me. Today, I’m a little more than irritated after Fitzpatrick wrote his list of the most annoying people in sports and….well….Calipari got quite the ripping at the top of the list:
John Calipari: The epitome of sleaze. If I were the NCAA, I’d put a permanent tail on the guy – a figurative tail, not a literal one, though come to think of it a real tail would go pretty well with his horns. He sent UMass into a permanent swoon. He got Memphis into hot water, then fled. You can book a future scandal at Kentucky.
And, if that’s not bad enough, he placed Pitino on the list as well with the only criticism being:
He might be the most upstanding guy in the world, but every time I see the Louisville coach, I keep waiting for Martin Scorsese to yell, “Cut!”
If you feel the need to tell Fitzpatrick how annoying he is, you can do it in the comments section here.
