With the NBA season getting kicked off yesterday with all kinds of media day shenanigans and, in some cases, a little midnight madness, Kentucky’s group of NBA rookies has a lot of preparation and pressure to deal with. For the most personable of the group, DeMarcus Cousins, one burden has been lifted from his shoulders. According to Kings coach Paul Westphal, Boogie finally got a driver’s license and is now able to drive himself to and from Kings practices (and pretty much everywhere else). But, being a man of business, Cousins took little time to celebrate and, outside of putting that little bobbling figure of Jared Swopshire in a grass skirt on his dashboard, it was life as usual on Monday for the newest King. Cousins made his rounds at the Sacramento media day and, after briefly breaking out in a beautiful song, took some time to answer the fans’ questions.
Take a look. The Cousins part starts at about the 4:40 mark.
