With the history-making draft of last night firmly behind us, it would seem like a good time to take a look ahead at some of the top prospects and projections for the 2011 draft. I’ve scoured the web for literally minutes finding these for your enlightenment and edification, so do yourself a favor and read them. Or drink a beer and watch TV. Could you get me one while you’re headed to the fridge, though?
—ESPN Insider’s Top-100 – Enes Kanter #5, Brandon Knight #8, Terrence Jones #14
—NBADraft.net 2011 – #2 Kanter, #5 Knight, #15 T. Jones
—Sports Illustrated’s Top 30 – Luke Winn has Kanter listed as the 12th best prospect, two spots behind Mason Plumlee of Duke. Not doing too many favors for his credibility there. Neither Knight, Jones, or BTI made the list.
—SB Nation – Kanter said to be able to cement his spot in the top 5 with major production this year, and makes the list with Perry Jones, some Czech guy, and Harrison Barnes. Josh Selby and Kyrie Irving described as better pro prospects than Knight. Also a shout out to Ashy Larry.
—Bleacher Report – They list Kanter going #23, but this is mainly linked for the incredibly ignorant writeup that accompanies Kanter’s picture.
