A Brilliant Take on Cats and Vols

fan-sign2

Listen, I know.  You don’t have to say it.  I’m Phil Bengtson and he’s Vince Lombardi.  I’m Gary Cherone and he’s David Lee Roth.  I’m Ashton Kutcher (creative liberty) and he’s Bruce Freakin’ Willis.  And that’s why I don’t blame you for wanting to know what he thinks about last night’s game.  If you didn’t care, I’d question your heart.  Matt offers his take on UK and Tennessee over on CBSSports.com and gives a lot of love to the Kentucky upperclassmen, who finally took a step forward in beating the Vols.  Take a look, leave a comment.  Just don’t touch the nice things they have on their coffee table.  We can’t afford to replace them.

I just noticed last night how extremely LARGE Bruce Pearl’s head is. It swallowed my T.V. screen during an interview!!

Nice.. I took this picture and one of of another sign. Personally, I thought the other was funnier, but glad my pic made the site!

Those were terrible analogies. We here on the comment board can do much better.

    Just to kick things off:

You are Baby Smurf and he is Papa Smurf, you are Bert and he is Ernie, you are Snuffleupagus and he is Big Bird.

You are Justin Beiber and his is Lady Gaga.

Trying to think of a better analogy also, one where Beisner = talented and fun to read and Jones = had a great idea, gets all the credit, but is a talentless douche.

While I was reading the other blogs I read where Lil Brucie got all huffy and called securty over…..did he get someone kicked out?

  15. Doron Lamb

Here is a mock draft, Lamb is not on it, so my guess is he is still going to class:

Knight, on the other hand, is at #15, higher than Selby, so I would guess if this stands, Knight and Jones are both gone.

That’s your definition of brilliant? LMAO. Stop sucking each others dicks so much and you might make a UK blog worth reading when there’s no recruiting news to report.

Here is another one that has Lamb at #55. http://www.mynbadraft.com/2011-NBA-Mock-Draft-Round-2

I think Cal would recommend that he stay if this is the case, this kid does not want to end up as Joe Crawford #2.

no big cut outs of peoples heads ??
can barely read the signs and I’m sitting in the lowers ?

Doron Lamb/Knight = Douglas ROberts…both will stay to increase draft stock like he did.

Douglas Roberts is one of those players a lot of people forget about. Top 50 out of high school, played with Cal and few years and then made the leap. still plays nba ball…

The best part of Matt’s posts on CBS are the Louisville fans who whine about every one.

Anyone hear Jay Bilas and Hubert Davis asessment of the Cats last night? Bilas stated the obvious, saying we didn’t have anyone who we could “throw the ball to in the post.” While somewhat accurate, the 3 of the last 10 national champions have had “suspect” Center/Power Forward combos who weren’t the most gifted back-to-the basket scorers. Case in point:

2000- Andre Hutson and A.J. Granger
    2001 — Carlos Boozer/Shane Battier
    2002 — Lonnie Baxter/Chris Wilcox
    2003 — Craig Forth/Hakim Warrick
    2004 — Emeka Okafor/Josh Boone
    2005 — Sean May/Jawad Williams
    2006 — Joakim Noah/Al Horford
    2007 — Joakim Noah/Al Horford
    2008 — Darnell Jackson/Darrell Arthur
    2009 — Tyler Hansborough/Deon Thompson
    2010 — Brian Zoubek/Lance Thomas

Obviously it helps to have beasts in the paint but you can’t tell me that UK ’11 4/5 combo does not equal the combined talent levels of Michigan State ’00, Syracuse ’03, and Duke ’10.

26 Of that list only a hand full of those guys are “suspect”

    22) I noticed the same thing, and not surprisingly, most of them are Louisville fans. The one that made me laugh the most was a response from one guy who said UK fans are nervous because, “UL is trending upward while the Cats are heading in the opposite direction.”
