The masterminds behind CBSSports.com’s Eye On College Basketball spent the summer polling coaches for their Candid Coaches series on the website. Today’s topic of debate: Will this season’s Kentucky team be closer to the 2012 title team or the 2013 NIT team?
Of the x-number of coaches polled, 87-percent believe the 2013-14 Cats will be more like the 2011-12 National Championship than last season’s NIT team. One coach told Jeff Borzello, ““Last year’s team had Ryan Harrow. They had no shot from day one.”
Another coach said, “They have NBA guys at every position, and two at some positions. And they won’t be all young this season. They’re just going to overwhelm most everybody they play.”
“Too many egos for even Calipari to handle. I think they have some cancers on the team as well,” said one hater.
In Jeff Borzello’s takeaway, he wrote that there is no ceiling for the Wildcats.
I agree with Borzello. You?
