Sometimes you check your email box and all you have are random invites to join Facebook groups you arent interested in, requests for gifts you cant give and emails from BTI asking that you stop making fun of him for making out with a girl at Mollys last weekend. And then sometimes you get emails from people that are intriguing. For instance today, when I received an email from a former UK player about this online attempt to sell a 1996 Championship ring. If you click on the link, you see that the ring is apparently authentic and was given to a player on the team. The person who sent me the link took on the name of a player on the team, although I wont mention it for fear that (a) he didnt want me to or (b) it isnt really him. I do however think it came from the player and the ring is a real 1996 Championship edition. It makes me kind of sad to see it sold and since this has now happened a couple of times since we started KSR, has me wishing that these rings had more personal, rather than retail value.
But alas, capitalism takes hold of many. So the ring is for sale and if you are interested, you can go and get it. You may not have played on the 1996 Championship team, but now you can at least act like you did…just say you are Jason Lathrem…no one would really be able to argue with you.
