15 Things Grant Traylor could tweet about until 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, just for fun

Grant Traylor, the lone media member covering the Andrew Wiggins decision on Tuesday afternoon, has already grown in popularity over night. Traylor went from under 1,500 Twitter followers to 9,379 Twitter followers in just one night. I expect that number to grow between now and Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. when Wiggins makes his announcement. Traylor sent out a tweet about 30 minutes after the rush when his name was revealed. The Tweet warned that he would be tweeting mostly about Marshall women’s softball for the rest of the night. After all, he’s a journalist from the Huntington, West Virginia area. Any other day, and most of his followers would be concerned with such information.

Now, Traylor has inherited a whole new batch of followers– in particular, a mass of Kentucky fans. The national media, fans of both teams, fans of college basketball in general, etc. will all be on Traylor in less than 24 hours. With that said, what if he messed with us and really put us to the test until Tuesday at 12:15 p.m.? Just how much other stuff could Grant Traylor tweet about in the meantime before the announcement, just to poke at all of his new followers a bit? If I were him, the idea would certainly be tempting, if for no other reason than for entertainment purposes. Grant Traylor, you have our undivided attention…

KSR writers are losing it. I would say Tucker is really silly with this post but hey, I am reading it. Makes me just as silly. We all need Annie to sing a verse or two of “The sun will come out tomorrow.” Let the countdown to BIG BLUE MADNESS officially begin at 12:16 tomorrow.

Man, many people are going to hear what that guy has to say tomorrow. Can you imagine Matt Jones having that opportunity? Can you imagine all the tweets about Boone’s Butcher Shop (They process dear, ya know), Fan Outfitters (if UK scores 80 pts, you save 80 percent, ya know), and Paul Miller Auto Outlet (The official auto dealer of John Calipari, ya know). I can’t say that I wouldn’t do the same.

Maybe Grant Taylor is the only media type that AnWigg and his family, school, and friends have authorized to be at the annnouncement “officially”, but who wants to bet there’s not a multitude of mobile phones and smart phones at the announcement that get the word out faster to the major media than GTaylor ever could with his Huntington WVa radios or newspapers. Times have changed kids. Unlike nearly every so-called “expert” in the world, I’m betting on UNC. I’m a die-hard UK FANatic so why? Easy. My reasons are based solely on media quotes made by AnWigg over the past few weeks. He was quoted as saying he loved playing against Jabari Parker he expected to play against him “a lot” at the “next level”. The only possible way he could play against Jabari Parker, who has committed to Duke, at the “next level” would be to select an ACC school in the same conference as Duke. The only ACC schools on his short list are FlState and UNC. He would be able to play against Parker at least twice and possibly three times counting ACC Tourny (possibley 4 counting NCAA Tourny) at either of those schools. He also was quoted as saying he wanted to be on a “National Championship” team. FlState has no chance of a Natl Champ even with AnWigg IMO. With the returning players, the highly rated recruiting class, and AnWigg, UNC will be one of the best teams in the nation and will undoubtedly have a shot at the NC. Using the deductive reasoning of Sherlock Holmes :-), I say he selects UNC.

I really hope wiggins picks kentucky, but everyone needs to remember what we have. They might not have played a game together yet, but they have the same “IT” factor that 2011-2012 team had. They didn’t have it until the missing piece committed…..yes, Julius Randle. The team is complete of so much talent that you will see 8-9 players on this year’s team go pro at some point. Mark it down. This team is is so good that teams are going to be scared to play them, but adding wiggins will just make them get the &$%* out of the way. Don’t feel like we are lowering our chances of winning the title if wiggins doesn’t come, just think they go to an almost guarantee with him. Honestly, do we still not have a 95% chance of winning it now, just a 99% chance with him. With or without wiggins, I’m ready to watch our cats play together and show the world just how good they are. Teams will fear this group as it is. Go CATS!!!!!!!!!

It’s also funny to me how everyone is so sure that he’s is coming here every day until the final week. If he was going to come months ago he will still come now. Just remember John Wall was going to go anywhere else until Cal came here. So never count out coach cal. He’s a better option for a coach than anyone else in the country.
