Three Wildcats named All-SEC by Phil Steele

Phil Steele (or Fee-yal Stee-yal, as Matt calls him) released his preseason All-SEC football teams today and Kentucky didn’t make a lot of noise on the lists. Only three of the 112 total selections are Wildcats, the lowest representation from any team in the conference.

Leading the pack for UK is linebacker Avery Williamson on Steele’s All-SEC second team, followed by defensive end Alvin “Bud” Dupree and punter Landon Foster on the fourth squad.

Go Cats.

I have a feeling that we’re going to surprise some people on the football field this year.

I’m kinda surprised Zadarius didn’t make the list.

Well that’s ok by me, because after the season’s over we’ll see how many UK players make that roster…..I love being the underdog!

How dare they doubt our punting skills! 4th team? Landon will show them.

Mr. Steele, please meet Mr. Z. Smith. Mr. Smith, Mr. Steele.

Dupree deserves to be second team at worst based on last year’s productivity alone. Maybe they dropped him because he’s changing positions?
