Off the Dribble, a New York Times NBA blog, recently sat down with Anthony Davis for a quick Q and A session. The former Wildcat had a ton to talk about following his gold medal run with Team USA and his first NBA season on the horizon.
-How did you like being the only rookie on the United States Olympic team?
AD: It was cool. It was a great experience learning and getting a chance to play with all the NBA superstars.
-Were any particular players helpful to you?
AD: LeBron and Kobe and Melo were the main guys who took me under their wings and talked to me and told me about what the NBA is like.
–Kentucky had six players drafted, including Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Why do you think you and your former teammates will make good NBA players?
AD: Coach Calipari coached in the NBA so he had that experience that he shared with us. We go hard in practice all the time. He runs his programs in a style that’s attractive to NBA teams.
–What’s on your iPod?
AD: A little bit of everything. Drake, Lil Wayne, Frank Ocean.
