As an old fart, can I ask a question. What is this, anyway? Is it just an audio-documentary akin to something that public radio might air? Or is it an actual scripted audio drama akin to Old Time Radio?

S-Town is a seven-episode audio-documentary by NPR and This American Life. It starts out as an investigative journalist going to rural Alabama to investigate a rumored murder, but over the course of the episodes it turns into something completely different.
