Riley Mahan took home SEC Player of the Week after going 9/18 with 11 RBIs at the plate in five games. The junior infielder is on a ten-game hitting streak since beginning the season o/8. Mahan had four RBIs in each of UK’s midweek games before hitting a big home run n Saturday’s game against UC Santa Barbara. On defense, Mahan has not committed an error since the second game of the season. Mahan is tied for third in the SEC with 17 RBIs and he is tied for second in the SEC with six doubles. Mahan is now batting .347 on the season and has risen up the SEC stat boards early in the season.
