Former Kentucky basketball golden boy John Wall has been on fire as of late.

The Washington Wizards point guard finished with 31 points, 9 assists, and 6 rebounds in a 116-111 win over Jodie Meeks and the Los Angeles Lakers last night at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC. The game marks Wall’s third straight performance of 30 points or better, and his second straight game with at least 7 assists.

Don’t forget to vote for John (as well as Kings C DeMarcus Cousins, Pelicans PF Anthony Davis, Jazz C Enes Kanter, and Suns PG Eric Bledsoe) for the 2014 NBA All-Star game in New Orleans! [VOTE HERE]

  1. Meeks

    Jodie is #20 not #23!!!!!

That picture makes me think how unstoppable we would have been in 2010 if we had Meeks on that team with Wall and company.

    1. Mack

My first thoughts when I looked at the picture, darn WVU anyway..

    2. Another Drew

Yeah me too. That really would have had the potential to be an undefeated team. No weaknesses. Chemistry would have been the only issue.

shoulda passed it ahead and let a big guy get a jam … would have given wall a double-double

    1. But

If he had passed it up, he would not have scored 30 points in three straight games!

    2. Blackhawk

That dunk was in the 2nd quarter….I don’t think he was too concerned about a double-double at that point.

Ahhhh Meeks….The missing ingredient to what could’ve been in 2010

Those two should be poster boys for what the NBA is trying to sell.

    That’s not a 360 dunk. At best, it’s 270.

It was an awesome dunk, but the pass he stole was so bad you would almost think that it was scripted. Seriously, how did that guy not see Wall waiting there for like an hour?. It was like someone said. “OK, this is the point in the game where we let a star make a highlight play to increase ratings. John Wall, you will perform a 360 dunk after the deliberate turnover which will occur during the 9th minute of the second quarter.”

Also, how about that defense by Pau Gasol, really getting after it. In general it seemed like neither team was particularly worried about getting back on defense.

By the way, I really hate the NBA.

  9. UMMMMMMMM

Not sure that is a 360 dunk
