Sacramento wants to offer Boogie $200-million extension

I think most UK fans would love to see DeMarcus Cousins get traded to any other team this season. He’s one of the best big guys in the NBA, if not the best, and everyone would love to see him play for a winning team. According to a report from ESPN’s Marc Stein, the Sacramento Kings’ front office is planning on keeping Big Cuz through this season, and then offering him a $200-million plus extension this summer.

This is where it gets a little tricky for the Kings. If they keep him this season and he doesn’t accept their huge offer in the offseason, then they are essentially losing him with nothing in return. If they do trade him before the offseason, they could at least get some sort of return out of his massive value.

DeMarcus hasn’t spoken about this upcoming summer in any length, but his past issues with the front-office and coaching staff in Sacramento have been a large distraction from how great his stats have been during his career. Despite all of that, Cousins has maintained that he loves playing in Sacramento and he has no intentions of leaving on his own.

Boogie even went as far to say this on NBA TV:

If you would ask me, I think my jersey will be hanging in the rafters when I retire in Sacramento. So not really a concern of mine. My only concern is winning games every night and pushing this team to the next level.

Either way, after this season, Cousins should be look at a monster pay-day. And he’ll deserve every single penny of it.

Jonathan Millers article is chock full of stupid and he is scared to open the comment section to allow people to refute his nonsense. Ksr, PLEASE stick to sports. No one cares for your communist drivel. Jonathan miller just embarrassed himself and it’s actually sad.

I agree it’s stupid to basically troll your audience and the whole state of KY and not have the balls to allow feedback from it. I quit reading his garbage posts quite awhile ago, so I have no idea what the latest one said.

I really hope he is just saying that because he has to right now. It sucks for a real competitor to be wasting his career in Sacramento playing for that dumpster fire of a franchise.
