Both Marcus Lee and Alex Poythress are trying to make NBA rosters and the former teammates played against one another on Monday.
The Pacers cut Alex Poythress but kept him on their summer league team, Lee is getting a chance with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Lee’s squad pulled out the narrow win and both players had some nice moments.
Lee finished with a respectable six points and six rebounds in 18 minutes. Poythress scored seven points to go with four rebounds and two blocks. Sadly both players will need to be better to draw attention from NBA teams, but Poythress knows what it takes to land in the NBA and Lee is still adjusting to the professional game.
Lee did provide a highlight that UK fans know all too well.

Y’all know Lee played volleyball in high school? Also, I still think UK wins it all in 2017 with Lee. I think they should have won it all without him, but that team could have used another frontcourt player that could block shots and rebound.
Best of luck!
