After finally signing his rookie contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, Julius Randle had an impressive NBA Summer League debut. It wasn’t a dominating perfomance, but Randle was able to finish 4-9 from the field and 2-4 from the free throw line. Along with his 10 points, Julius also pulled down 2 defensive rebounds. While you’d expect more rebounds from him, the most any Laker had was four. It’s the summer league, so you have to expect some sloppy games. The Lakers were eventually defeated by the Pelicans, 73 to 90.
Randle had a nice slam dunk to finish out the 2nd quarter. The game wasn’t televised on cable, but thankfully someone uploaded it for all to see. Check it out!
