I’d argue that baseball probably isn’t really America’s pastime anymore, but even I’ve been to a baseball game before. Before last night, James Young hadn’t. Yesterday, Young went to the Red Sox/Cubs game at Fenway Park, which he said was his first baseball game EVER in an interview with CSNNE.com:
“This is actually my first baseball game ever,” Young told CSNNE.com. “Being at the Green Monster is very special. … I can’t wait for our first game at the Garden. I’m sure it’s going to be sold out, they show a lot of support here.”
You can hear all of James’ comments in the video above. I particularly like when he said how “peaceful” the people of Boston are. I guess that would be the first thing a kid from Flint, Michigan would notice.
The Celtics head to Orlando this weekend for the NBA Summer League, but today, Brad Stevens said he wasn’t sure whether or not Young would play due to a neck injury he sustained in a car wreck last month. Stevens said Young’s injury is minor, but they’re being very careful not to rush his return.
