We knew it wouldn’t take long for DeAndre Liggins to find a home. The Miami Heat just announced they have signed Liggins, who will join fellow Cat Bam Adebayo in South Beach to start the season. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Liggins sure looks happy signing that contract:
Liggins spent last season with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Dallas Mavericks, and, through a series of offseason trades, ended up in Atlanta and was immediately waived a few weeks ago. Now, he’ll return to Miami, where he played with the Heat in 2014. He also spent two seasons with the Heat’s D-League (not calling it G-League!) affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce. It was with the Skyforce that he achieved most of his D-League success, winning Defensive Player of the Year twice and helping them win the 2016 Championship.
