BBNBA: Jamal Murray Waves Goodbye to the Lakers

(Photo via NBA.com/Nuggets)

Good afternoon, folks. It was somewhat of a slow night for former Wildcats in the Association. Let’s talk NBA anyways.

RECAP

  • Enes Kanter and Kevin Knox opened up the night for the BBNBA as their New York Knicks lost to the Detroit Pistons 108-115. Kanter – the walking double-double – scored 16 points and grabbed 14 rebounds while Knox had a rough night shooting from the field, going 1-7 for four points.
  • Alex Poythress sat out his fifth straight game for the Atlanta Hawks as he continues to nurse an ankle injury. He’s questionable for Wednesday’s night game in Charlotte and is currently listed as day-to-day.
  • For the Miami Heat – who lost to the now 5-16 Hawks on Tuesday – Bam Adebayo had another solid outing despite being limited to 13 minutes. Adebayo was a perfect 4-4 from the field for 12 points and he also pulled down four rebounds and recorded two steals.
  • The Denver Nuggets made light-work of the Los Angeles Lakers, running them off the court in the second half for a 117-85 victory. Jamal Murray scored 20 points on 8-18 shooting in addition to three rebounds and four assists while Trey Lyles was a cold 2-10 from the field for only five points, but he did corral nine rebounds in his 24 minutes.
  • Murray and Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball have some beef history (if you want to call it that), you might recall. Ball ended up missing most of the second half of this game with what would later be diagnosed as an sprained ankle, but Murray still found a way to troll the Lakers.

  • Staying with the Lakers, Rajon Rondo has been cleared to participate in non-basketball activities after having surgery on his right hand.
  • Last, but certainly not least, Devin Booker had the BBNBA line of the night consisting of 20 points (7-21 shooting), four rebounds, eight assists, and three steals (and five turnovers, but let’s keep that a secret). His teammate and number one overall pick from the previous draft, Deandre Ayton, got crossed into another dimension.

  • My dude fell over like a freshly sliced piece of banana bread.

The Nuggets’ jersey looks like it should be replaced by, “ELLEN”….. “Be Kind 2 1 Another”.

Would’ve been better if he had waved before scoring.
