BBNBA: Anthony Davis leads the Pelicans to win over the Cavaliers

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

  • It was a slow night for former Cats in the NBA last night, but the one bright spot was another dominant performance from Anthony Davis for the New Orleans Pelicans. While his big game may have come against the Cleveland Cavaliers, one of the worst teams in the league, this has become almost a nightly occurrence for Davis. The Brow finished with 38 points on 11 of 17 shooting, 13 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 blocks, 2 steals, and went 15 of 16 from the charity stripe. Fellow Pelicans’ starters Julius Randle and Darius Miller both also gave solid contributions to the New Orleans victory. Randle had 17 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks, and was 9 for 9 on his free throws, while Miller put up 8 points, 3 assists, and 2 boards.
  • The Milwaukee Bucks continued on their tear through the first half of the season. Last night, taking on one of the better teams from the Western Conference, the Bucks took care of business, disposing of the Houston Rockets 116 to 109. Eric Bledsoe played well for Milwaukee, with 10 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, and a block, but he picked up a technical in a small scuffle after being called for a charge. On the other end, Brandon Knight played sparingly for the Rockets, scoring 3 points and grabbing a rebound in just seven minutes.
