Since the Kentucky football season ended with a 46-point victory in the Governor’s Cup, Mark Stoops has been on the road recruiting.
Immediately following the game, he spent time visiting prospects around the state before traveling to Louisiana, Ohio and everywhere in-between. This week he’s doing a little more juggling, thanks to Josh Allen. Last night Stoops was in Charlotte to see Allen receive the Bronko Nagurski Trophy. The two will be at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta on Thursday for the College Football Awards Show that you can watch on ESPN beginning at 7:00.
Before Stoops took his talents to Charlotte, he was in his home state of Ohio with Vince Marrow. The two visited a pair of Springfield High School commits, defensive tackle Isaiah Gibson and defensive back Moses Douglass. It was Marrow’s second trip to Springfield in two weeks.

Prior to Stoops’ stop in Charlotte, Matt House joined him in Columbia, South Carolina to visit cornerback commit Jalen Geiger.

Stoops is staying in the South this week. Earlier today he conducted an in-home visit with Travis Tisdale, the No. 12 all-purpose back in the country according to Rivals and a member of the ESPN300. This fall Tisdale led Georgia’s 7A class with 1,903 rushing yards and 23 total touchdowns. The highlights from Tisdale’s senior year are impressive.

I doubt Stoops leaves Georgia anytime soon. Three linebackers — Tra Wilkins, Marquez Bembry and KD McDaniel — call the Peach State home. There’s enough time for in-home visits before Josh Allen earns more hardware in Atlanta Thursday night. Stoops will return to Lexington for a Friday evening press conference, tentatively scheduled for 5:30.
