Before he announced his intentions to play for the University of Kentucky, Justin Rogers’ announcement had a few hiccups.
Like most recruiting announcements, it started late. Like most modern announcements, it came with a video presentation. Instead of testing out the projector during the delay, fans in the stands and at home were forced to wait while they plugged in the video equipment. After almost 15 minutes, the tape finally rolled.
Instead of the quick cut at the end of the video above, Rogers made the announcement by pulling out a UK hat. Current Wildcat and former Oak Park teammate, Marquan McCall, wasted no time to celebrate with his future teammate, nearly tackling Rogers to the floor.
McCall was wearing his UK blue at the ceremony, and he was not alone. Four-star cornerback Enzo Jennings had a UK shirt ready. Will he be the next Oak Park kid to come to Lexington?
