UK Hoops traveled to Fayetteville, Arkansas tonight and beat the Razorbacks 69-62.

In the first half the Cats hit six three pointers pointers but, other than that the first half was a little lack luster for UK. They only shot 29% from the field. According to the @KentuckyWBB Twitter account, Matthew Mitchell pushed the team to play harder in the second half.

At halftime UK led 31-20 but then Taylor Murray got called for a flagrant and Arkansas took off. The Razorbacks went on a 7-0 run in the third and a 9-0 run in the fourth. With just five minutes to go UK Hoops led 55-53. With three minutes left, Epps hit a huge three, Akhator got aggressive and Murray made a game changing lay up. Ball Game.

Murray led the team with 16 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Senior Evelyn Akhator had her 14th double-double of the season with 12 points and 11 rebounds so yeah, she’s really GOOD.

UK Hoops returns home to Memorial this Sunday to take on Florida at 1pm.
