UK Baseball beats EKU 16-5 to move to best start since 2012

Another day, another beatdown by UK Baseball. The No. 6 Bat Cats just pummeled Eastern Kentucky 16-5 to advance to 12-1, their best start since 2012.

Senior catcher/first baseman Troy Squires was 4-4 with three doubles while NCBWA National and SEC Player of the Week Luke Heyer continued his impressive streak with a double and a grand slam, the latter in the seventh inning to extend the lead to 16-5. Kole Cottam and TJ Collett also turned in home runs.

Tomorrow, the Bat Cats will take on Northern Kentucky (2-9) at 4 p.m. at The Cliff.
