Tyler Herro sets announcement date for Tuesday

Four-star shooting guard Tyler Herro just announced he will be making his college decision on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.

Herro has been on his official visit to Kentucky all weekend, and was in attendance for the Wildcats’ 73-69 victory over Vermont.

The 6’5, 220 lbs. guard out of Wisconsin also holds offers from Kansas, Oregon, and Villanova, but considering he set the decision immediately following his visit to Kentucky, I think we all know where he’s headed…

Come on down, Mr. Herro.

W/Herro in the fold, the addition of Baker, the already solid shooting of Quade & Shai, & the improved jump shot that’s catapulted Keldon up in the rankings, our team next year should be very solid from beyond the arc. I’m looking forward to this season, but w/a few holdovers, we could be in for a special season in 2018.

I totally agree. Let’s don’t forget Quickley, who has turned himself into a very solid shooter from the outside as well. Now, ofcourse when it comes to UK, every single yr, we have certain players we try to just go ahead and tag as players that will be here itleast
2-3 yrs. Such as Bledsoe, Orton, Booker, etc.. So, with the early look at things, with this yr’s roster, most have quickly assumed either or both, SGA and Quade would be 2 of the players believed to be itleast two yr guys, and some throw Richards, and PJ in the mix as well. Now, me for one thinks if this team can continue to slowly improve, and by seasons end, they are in the mix of teams, that are expected to make a run in March, then that can chg things immensely. That is obviously because the fact, for us to be in position to make a deep run, then that happens then that means our guard play from those two, has had to be really solid! If that’s the case, I honestly could actually see SGA, due to his 6-6 size, and insane 7′ wingspan for a PG, possibly being 1 player, who sneaks up into a possible late 1st rd draft position. Bc scouts will obviously, be excited for a possible PG, with great above avg size for the pos, a really good motor, who I think could turn into a nightmare on the Def side, of floor for opposing teams! Not to mention he has the knack and ability to slash and get to bucket, even if he doesn’t completely beat his man off the dribble, as long as he gets them on his hip, and that’s where his size and length comes into play and just lay it in over them, or force them to foul, where he is a good ft shooter. Then he also has actually shown so far, in catch and shoot opportunities, when he has time to set, he is a very solid outside shooter, with an improving pull up jumper, where he is working on a quicker release, and not to mention rebs well, for his position too. Quade on the other hand, I think has the chance to be an excellent College PG! He is prob the most mature, on the floor anyway, of our many 19yr old Fr. A kid who has the ability to, and will be able to imo, flat out run the show, for his team. While being an extension of the Coach on the floor. Then he is a good shooter, and loves to compete! But it’s hard with his size, athleticism, and other attributes to seperate yourself as someone a team would take reasonably high in the draft, due to so many guards, his size, that does those things at that level. I think he may be the type, that at his best, his stock will always kind of be in a certain range, and that’s late 1st rd, if a team falls in love with him, to anywhere in 2nd. As far as College, and what matters for us, I love having him on our squad!! He’s a competitor, and a great leader on and off the floor, a guy u need in ur locker room, and a kid at this level, that can be 1 heck of a guard before it’s all said and done!
