Kentucky Sports Radio

University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Today on KSR: A New Week

Happy Monday, Big Blue Nation.  After a busy week of spring football, basketball recruiting, NBA decisions and the Nike Hoops Summit, we have a week without a whole lot happening.

A few Wildcats still on the fence will receive official feedback from the NBA this week.  Wenyen Gabriel and Jarred Vanderbilt are still playing the waiting game, while conflicting reports leave Hamidou Diallo’s status uncertain.  The new feedback should help all three make final decisions and provide some roster clarity, before we officially enter “summer radio season.”

Calipari’s Recruiting Road Trip Continues

Coach Cal spent the weekend recruiting guards in the 2019 class.  He spent Saturday with Scottie Lewis and Bryan Antoine, the top two wings in 2019.  Sunday was reserved for point guard Tyrese Maxey, his second visit to Texas in a week.  He’ll have a few more in-home visits before the period concludes on Wednesday.

Poor Bledsoe

The first round match-up between the Celtics and Bucks turned into a one-on-one match-up between Terry Rozier and Eric Bledsoe. The former Cardinal won the battle (and embarrassed Bledsoe in the process).

Bledsoe’s first playoff appearance ended in a loss, as did Karl-Anthony Towns’.  KAT only had eight points in the three-point loss to the Rockets.  The Thunder beat the Jazz and the Pacers upset the Cavs on Sunday.  Enjoy it while you can, Pacers’ fans.

Tonight’s Playoff Schedule

Bam Adebayo is the only former Kentucky Wildcat in action tonight.  The Heat will take on Philly at 8:00 on TNT, two days after Adebayo scored only six points in game one.  The Warriors host the Spurs at 10:30.

A New Aaron Torres Sports Podcast

After spending a weekend in Portland at the Nike Hoop Summit, Aaron Torres will put on the headset to share his thoughts on Tyler Herro, Keldon Johnson and other “stars” in the 2018 recruiting class.  Don’t miss it.

Welcome Back, Tyler

Good news folks, we made it one week without Mrs. Tyler and the site did not burn to the ground.   After a week of rest and relaxation, Mrs. T is back on the blog.

KSR Returns

Prepare to hear plenty of hilarious stories from this weekend’s Roast and Toast of Matt Jones.  Let’s just say Ryan Lemond did the most Ryan Lemond thing ever.

The cavs are not good, lebron can’t carry a team for 4 quarters anymore, and anytime he sits the rest of the team can’t hold par. I say they beat the pacers, then that’s it. Lebron is counting his days there, and Cleveland won’t be good again for 10 years.

Came on here to say the same thing. I know the Cavs are still probably favored in the series, but there’s still a real possibility they don’t make it out of the first round. And even if they do, I don’t think they can make it through the rest of the east to make it to the finals – which, thank god, because that would be an even less entertaining finals series than last year’s.

That was not Bledsoe’s first playoff appearance.
