Three-star athlete Jim Davis commits to Kentucky (or maybe not?)

How about a Yahtzee to get the morning rolling? 2020 three-star athlete Jim Davis just committed to Kentucky. The Belle Glade, Florida native also had an offer from Syracuse.

247 Sports ranks Davis the 172nd best wide receiver in the country. Nick Roush will be by with more on him in just a bit.

UPDATE (11:35 am)

Davis deleted his commitment Tweet and posted this a few minutes later:

Football recruiting is weird.

Must be underrated because of limited scholarships next year they said they would be selective with who they take

Isn’t this like the people who already know they’re getting married, but still say they aren’t engaged yet? I’m sorry people, but WORDS MEAN THINGS!!! If you know you’re getting married, YOU’RE ENGAGED!!! Just because you haven’t hired the professional photographer & paid to get your nails & hair & makeup done to take picks of the “engagement” on the beach so you can post it on all your social media accounts doesn’t change that!

    Rant over!!!

My guess is UK hasn’t given a formal offer. They want him to visit first to get to know him. Make sure it’s a good fit both ways before he pulls the trigger.

He probably had a good phone conversation with the coaches and thought he had the green light to commit.

      That may be.

This makes sense to me. False start, #172. 5 yard penalty, repeat first down
