Dang it! Another one that got away!

    1. Wilfred Smith

      No offer. Loose contact.

Maybe UK SHOULD have been on him, but to say he got away is a bit disingenuous.

  2. 2andToodleLoo

I’ve never heard of this kid but I bet he’ll live to stick it to UK like Chris Lofton and other SEC players have.

    1. Wilfred Smith

But the odds of him cracking the lineup if he was in Lexington competing against elite guys for PT?

  3. kyle heavy

Yet we continue to fill out only 10 of 12 available scholarships the last few years…

    1. Glock

      Amen to that

  4. Hancock73

    Ranked nationally at 228. So…

    1. Alex90

      What were you ranked?

    2. mashburnfan1

You people and your rankings. They often mean very little. I will bet the Auburn guards last year were ranked well below our guards yet they did whatever they wanted vs our All American future NBA Draft Picks. They also continued to the F4. We have had the #1 or #2 “ranked class” every year, how is that working out? Losing in the tourney to far less talented teams.

    3. Cletis75

How’s it going for Auburn or Bruce pearl? How many final fours for either of them in the last 20 years, mashburnfan1? 1? Well there’s a model to follow!

  5. memphis

I guess he wasn’t interested in spending his entire career being labeled as the next Rex Chapman.

Between Arizona’s commitment earlier and this one, do people think the NCAA is just going to ignore the FBI investigation? The hammer will drop sooner or later.

    1. StuckinLville

That’s what i been wondering. Makes no since why Baker or Brown has committed there with everything going on. Obviously it’s hurting Kansas though. No top 50 commits and players jumped ship like crazy. Be nice if everything happened before the season started.

    2. nocode96

I think that the ncaa won’t do shlt. I hate it, but I’d almost bet my retirement savings that absolutely NOTHING happens to any of these schools involved. I actually hate the fact that they made Louisville the scapegoat and that’s where it will stay. LSU, Kansas, Arizona…nothing will happen to them.

    3. memphis

I can see this going down as a Jerry Tarkanian “The NCAA is so mad at Kentucky they’re going to give Cleveland State another year of probation” type situation where the big dogs get off and they smack down a smaller school like Auburn. Do you think the NCAA wouldn’t love to take another shot at Bruce Pearl?

  6. kybirdieman

He can probably shoot, that’s why Cal wasn’t interested.

    1. DelrayCat

So Herro, Booker, Monk, Knox, etc. couldn’t shoot eh? You Debbie-downer Cal bashers suck donkey balls.

    2. StuckinLville

Lamb, Knight, Lyles, Ulis, Towns, Murray just to name some more

    3. kybirdieman

I’ll give you Booker at 47% the rest were streak shooters, Monk 45, Knox 44, and Herro 46. The best was Lamb at 49 among guards. Two years in a row we got beat by inferior teams because our guards couldn’t make a shot and guard. Ole Debbie doesn’t drink the cool aid and accept getting beat by K State and Auburn.

    4. mashburnfan1

And Wisconsin and UConn and Robert Morris.

  7. StuckinLville

Guys u can fuss all u want but the kid didnt want to wait to see if he would even get an offer. So that’s on him.

  8. Cokely53

We already have Allen who will be a Kentucky boy on the roster for multiple seasons. No point in getting them just to get them and not play. But watch Pearl try to use this as a recruiting tactic saying that he went into KY and stole our best recruit over Cal even tho we never offered.

    1. mashburnfan1

I would wait to see how the kid does before saying he would not play here. You must be another that goes by rankings. Just remember what those much lower ranked guards of Auburn did to us in the tourney last year. Look at what the much lower ranked UVA guards did. A lower ranked Jr or SR guard is often much better than these 5 star FR guards during that season, I mean we have seen that happen to us how many times.

    2. Cletis75

Yeah Mashburnfan1, you mean the VA guards that were beat by a 16 seed the season before?

  9. Theymademesignup

Holy shit this kid is how tall?

  10. mclarenm8b

    Three feet, six inches

  11. Han

Cue everyone getting upset Cal didn’t get this kid while conveniently forgetting how they complained about previous Kentucky kids who weren’t good enough/didn’t count when talking about needing more recruits.

  12. Glock

Hes a Ky kid, of course Cal doesnt want him….

  13. nocode96

Why do so many of y’all pine for Kentucky kids? It’s silly.

    1. Shepherdizing McDyess

      B/c we are Missouri fans?

    2. CATandMONKEY

Yeah, Actually do not care if every kid on the team is from Croatia – If they can ball,

  14. A_Blue_Wildcat

Barely top 100 kid who will take years to develop and very well could never be anything more than a shooter. Yeah we clearly should prioritize him over other non-kentucky kids.
