Naz Reid commits to LSU

LSU just landed a huge addition to its 2018 basketball recruiting class with the commitment of Naz Reid, a five-star big man out of New Jersey.

Reid is No. 15 overall in his class and had drawn interest from Kentucky, although he never received an offer from the Cats. John Calipari and Tony Barbee watched him play at his Roselle High School (former home of one Isaiah Briscoe) back in February; I was also in attendance and Reid dominated in front of the UK coaching staff.

Reid’s commitment to the Tigers came after a visit from LSU head coach Will Wade on Monday. He joins five-star point guard Ja’Vonte Smart in what is a monster class for Wade in his second year.

LSU is back on track in the SEC.

Good. All the other SEC teams need to continue getting better. SEC basketball used to be strong, needs to be again.
