Louisville’s new commit must work out

The University of Louisville picked up a new basketball commit today, which is nice. His name is Aidan Igiehon and he’s a four-star prospect, ranked 44th overall in the entire 2019 class. He picked the Cards over three other finalists — Oregon, Kentucky and St. John’s — although, Kentucky didn’t offer him so including the Cats in his final group is very misleading. Whatever, though. Good for him.

So what is Chris Mack getting in his new big man? I don’t know because I haven’t seen him play. I can’t even pronounce his name. But I do know he is JACKED.

It’s a great pickup for Mack and the Louisville program given the black cloud it has been living under recently. They’ll still lose to Kentucky every year but this new guy might win a weight lifting contest.

Nothing wrong with that guy that a good old-fashioned butt whippin’ wouldn’t fix….. Drew why don’t you go ahead, get us started

I’m afraid we might be in big trouble next year in the frontcourt. I’m not sold that were getting any big man we have on the board right now.

What are you talking about?? We don’t even know who’s gonna be on the team next year… chill

Have you learned nothing over the Cal era?

    3. DelrayCat

I’m guessing if we whiff on Wiseman, Carey, Tshiebwe…then Cal gets a guy or two to “open up their recruiting” after a verbal to another school.

I’ll take Reid Travis in a weight lifting contest over this dude any day.

Surprised Adidas is out front and center in that picture. They really are oblivious.

I saw that, too…can you believe UL? They’re just too dense for words; oblivious is good as any, Bahaha.

Mack is a goofy looking Terry miners lite. Guy can’t coach, record is horrible in tournaments, conference, against rivals, and if not for Virginia, would have been the biggest upset of the tournament. He’s recruiting the same type players he did a x, but the ACC isn’t that crap conference he came from. UL will not make it out of the sweet sixteen with him as coach. Mark it down. Besides, more penalties are coming.

    I thought he was Irish?

    1. KatsKlaws

      He may be.

    2. Cmstew502

Judging from his picture he’s definitely not

    3. runningunnin.454

He was born/raised in Dublin; but lives with his aunt and uncle in New York.

    4. Mathlete

There’s at least a dozen black people in Ireland, he could be one of them.

Seriously though, he’s Irish by nationality but his family immigrated at some point

He was just listed here the other day; thought KENTUCKY was recruiting him:

He obviously thought UK was recruiting him, too. In the article you cited, it says Cal had not offered.
Another article said he committed to UL after his visit was “crazy”. Wonder how crazy.

    2. ClutchCargo

Probably a little less crazy than it would have been a couple of years ago. lol

Card fans are saying this was a huge victory beating Cal out for a top tier recruit.

    They paid him ?
