UK is known for terrific athletes; now we claim the title of “NCAA’s Greatest Athlete”.Well done, Tim Duckworth.
Can we secretly root for him in the next Olympics?
    I think so.

      What’s the story? I don’t know this.

Yesterday, UK’s Duckworth, won the NCAA Decathlon. Although he’s from Arizona, he competes for Great Britain.
He also has a terrific sense of humor; during his interview during the Women’s 10,000, he was asked if he would like to get out there and compete; he said, “No, I would lose”.
      Great.

    3. Realme

Nice. Will have to look up the events of tonight and tomorrow.

I think there’s an exception and you can cheer for someone from another country when they were a Wildcat.

    5. J-Dub421

We’ll call it the Blue/White exception.

The only thing I hate worse than track, is field. Ha! JK. However, I do admit I don’t pay attention outside the Olympics, but Syd is just.so.DOMINANT! It’s kind of like watching Michael Jordan shove Bryon Russell to the floor, not get called for it, and make the winning shot for the ring.

One of my friends works with the dude from Matt’s bowling confrontation story. He tells it kind of differently than Matt did, lol.

      Go figure. *laughs*

We used to hang out with some Masons, and I always told my husband that if he joined up, he was going to tell me everything!

    1. J-Dub421

I have a feeling masons secrets aren’t nearly as exciting as we want them to be.

    2. Realme

From what I’ve seen, they are really goofy, but they do a lot of community service.

Probably something like they are all wearing women’s underwear. 😉

    4. 4everUKblue

Probably similar to Skull and Bones and other secret societies.

Sounds like Hagans is taking the dook accelerated reclassification approach. Although not as extreme as what Bagley did.

Wasn’t that long ago, the narrative was, “will there ever be another triple Crown winner?” Now we’re looking at a potential second in a handful of years.

I hope Justify wins, but I think it is going to be tough, especially considering that he will be coming from the rail. Not sure if he has a lot of distance in his breeding either. The Belmont is a killer of speed horses.

    2. J-Dub421

It will depend on whether or not other horses challenge Justify’s pace. He likes to be a front-runner. His blood lines are pretty solid.

The Eagles don’t have time to go to the WH anyway now that they’re on tour with Vince Gill in tow.

  7. Ray in Paducah

Are local affiliates supposed to be running commercials during your segments? The whole 2nd hour 2nd segment is a block of them.

  8. Realme

Ba ha ha Harvey! Skipped meeting the guys to “Rototill a 78 year old’s garden”.

    2 Things:

    1. I am excited that Ashton Hagans will be at UK soon. We are going to be guard rich this year. (I stand behind my guard rich statement no matter what some other negative nellies around here have tried to say.)

    2. Exactly as I predicted, NBA teams are falling in love with Kevin Knox. I knew they would love his skill set, size, etc. when he started doing workouts and that his stock would climb accordingly.

    1. RealCatsFan

Knox has a silky-smooth jump shot. His release is so quick. I will miss that next year.
