The image of Matt sitting right next to Bologna Head on a plane still makes me laugh out loud. #awkward

  2. RealCatsFan

Regarding the whole sordid UL thing, one of the life rules I have taught my kids applies here – if you are doing something that you feel needs to be hidden from others, it is probably not the right thing. 😉

    2. runningunnin.454

Bingo. But, who payed for McGee’s silence?

    3. J-Dub421

I’m betting Pitino on that on RG. He had/has the most to lose, and has the money to do it.

    4. J-Dub421

      *on that one

    5. ClutchCargo

      Excellent advice, RCF.

    6. RealCatsFan

I will go on to say that surprise parties and gifts are one of the few exceptions to this rule. 😉

    7. wheresthelikebutton

Somebody must be blackmailing McGee for murder. I thought he would have been on tv spilling his guts by now.

    8. J-Dub421

I’m with RG. McGee’s career and livelihood are ruined. He has nothing to lose by not talking at this point. It’s totally plausible that someone with deep pockets bought his silence.

  3. RealCatsFan

ALL of the females in the Calipari household are awesome in my book. They take absolutely no crap off of anyone, and the barbs they hit the menfolk with are simply hilarious. 🙂

    1. J-Dub421

I want to be like Ellen when I grow up.

  4. wheresthelikebutton

    what the hell?

    1. wheresthelikebutton

Oh, phew! I’m in. You guys it’s realme! I can’t comment with my other profile (Chrome, Explorer, phone, ad blocker, no ad blocker). This is terrible.

    2. J-Dub421

      That is terrible!

    3. ClutchCargo

That sucks. I’m out of commenting jail for awhile while I’m working outside of the office. The downside is I’m not able to listen to the show, so I have no idea what is being said.

    4. runningunnin.454

Wow, what did you guys do? Insult the French?

    5. ClutchCargo

Eff the French. I’m probably banned now.

    6. J-Dub421

I have no problem with the French. They make some delicious food.

    7. wheresthelikebutton

You’re just sucking up so you don’t have to make a new profile, lol.

  5. J-Dub421

I need for Cal to just stay forever. I’m at a point where there is no other coach I want.

    1. wheresthelikebutton

Yes, I dread when Cal leaves. It won’t ever be like this again.

    2. RealCatsFan

What will Mashburnfan do when he doesn’t have Cal to blame for everything?

    3. J-Dub421

What’s he going to do when he realizes we can’t get someone better than Cal?

  6. wheresthelikebutton

Pearl is STILL cheating and lying. No we couldn’t hire him. I like him too, but no.

    1. J-Dub421

Exactly. Pearl is a really good coach, but he just can’t stop getting in trouble. Pearl has been directly involved each time his schools have gotten busted. I don’t get it either. He doesn’t need to cheat to win.

    2. runningunnin.454

Obviously he does need to cheat. And Ryan would still take him at UK? Nope!

    3. ClutchCargo

I liked Pearl a lot better as an ESPN talking head. He is a good coach, though, and I guess he raises the level of SEC basketball. Except for the whole cheating and lying thing.

    4. runningunnin.454

Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?

    5. ClutchCargo

It’s hard to say whether he needs to cheat, because he has cheated throughout his career.

    6. runningunnin.454

Yep, he had ncaa problems as an assistant at Iowa, and at Milwaukee prior to going to UT.

    7. chris gettelfinger is not walking through that door

And at Auburn he has actually spoken to some ethics classes about his situation. Oops!

  7. RealCatsFan

I like the new handle, though! Tell it like it is!

    1. wheresthelikebutton

Thanks. Lack of like button still makes me sad.

  8. RealCatsFan

Would anyone buy a used car from Bruce Pearl?

    1. ClutchCargo

It would almost certainly have black pepper in the radiator and evidence of tampering with the odometer.

    2. RealCatsFan

      and sawdust in the transmission.

    3. RealCatsFan

When Pearl was first hired at UT, I did a great photoshop of him as a used car salesman. Wish there was a way to insert pictures on here.

  9. wheresthelikebutton

Is Olive Garden trying to kill its’ customers with the diabeetus? No one should eat unlimited pasta.

    1. wheresthelikebutton

Also their bread sticks and salad (and most entrees) are overrated.

    2. J-Dub421

Back in my swimming days I could have made them nervous. I don’t eat like that anymore though.

    3. RealCatsFan

Olive Garden is overrated in my book. Sauce tastes generic, and the bread sticks remind me of hot dog buns brushed with garlic butter. Meh.

    4. RealCatsFan

Now if someone gives away free pizza, I’m in!

    5. runningunnin.454

That deal definitely wouldn’t be healthy.

    6. ClutchCargo

Thank you! I have never understood the fascination with Olive Garden. It’s pretty good at best, but not some place I would go out of my way for.

    7. RealCatsFan

Hey – pizza is healthy! You have all your food groups, bread, vegetables (sauce), meats, cheese. Honestly, most of the time the Mrs and I get spinach and tomato for toppings, so aside from the cheese, what’s unhealthy about it?

    8. J-Dub421

Olive Garden (and pretty much any other chain restaurant) is fine. It’s not good, or great, it’s fine.

    9. runningunnin.454

I wasn’t talking about pizza in particular; but, the problem would be weight gain.

    10. wheresthelikebutton

Depends on how thick / greasy your crust is, RCF.

    11. RealCatsFan

I like the thin, crispy crust, so I guess that is a lot better for you than thick crust. Someone ordered pizza at work last week that had the cheese and bacon stuffed crust. I could feel my arteries clogging just looking at it.

    12. chris gettelfinger is not walking through that door

The problem is the carbs RCF, but thin crust obvs has many less than thick. And I do like my carbs BTW.

  10. RealCatsFan

So is Matt going to talk about the tigersaurus statue that Mizzou erected in front of their gym? Rumor has it that it killed Newman in the Jurassic Park movie.

    1. wheresthelikebutton

Do you think that’s how they wanted it to look when the commissioned it? So bad.

    2. J-Dub421

There had to have been someone who approved a mock-up of the statue. That person should be fired.

    3. runningunnin.454

Actually, though, some tigers do have webbed feet, and they’re good swimmers.
      But, it is butt ugly.

    4. RealCatsFan

Maybe it’s supposed to be a tiger right after it got out of the water. You know, cats get kind of pissed when they are wet – I know mine does. 🙂

    5. ClutchCargo

Maybe it’s a tiger who just saw his team go down on a TD with no time on the clock. 🙂

    6. J-Dub421

People complain about TW, but he was excellent in the Florida game and we would not have broken the streak without him. Even though our offense was stagnant for most of the Missouri game, TW got it done down the stretch, under pressure, when we really needed it. Props to TW for that.

    7. runningunnin.454

Mizzou has that ugly thing; and, LSU has a real tiger. Their fans can’t be happy.

  11. J-Dub421

Good grief. We haven’t played a game yet this season, and idiots are already trying to replace Terry.

    1. RealCatsFan

I just want to see Terry using his running ability more. Early in the season, he was a fearless runner, and had some moves that made you think (a little bit) of Lamar. But then it seems like the coaching staff reigned that in.

  12. runningunnin.454

Greatest error in judgment in regards to entertainment industry was when Don Knotts left television, and the Andy Griffith show.
His movies were disasters. The best one, “The Ghost and Mr. Chicken” was actually based on an Andy Griffith episode.

    1. ClutchCargo

And then he doubled down on the terrible by playing a character in “Three’s Company.” Ugh.

    2. RealCatsFan

The list of successful TV stars who tried to cross over to movies and flopped is very long.

  13. wheresthelikebutton

Constant Sealyair? How does Matt get to give Ryan a hard time for his word choice / pronunciation?

  14. RealCatsFan

If they combined the “Field of Dreams” concept with characters from “Children of the Corn”… that would be cool! 😀

    1. RealCatsFan

If someone hit a ball that carried into the edge of the cornfield, the outfielders would have to be worried about getting snatched whey they tried to field it. I like it!

  15. runningunnin.454

A high, easy to catch fly ball to the outfield is called “a can of corn”. Might not be that easy in a cornfield.

    1. Bluehender

I read where they were going to build another stadium adjacent to the Field of Dreams field for the Yankees/White Sox game.

  16. chris gettelfinger is not walking through that door

Crud! I missed the show today and it’s from a town I used to spend time in when my aunt and her family lived there when I was a kid.

If anyone reads this, does Danville still have the fire plugs painted up like tin soldiers? I’ve asked that before but don’t remember if I got an answer. We had a little dog that was doing a low “Woof!” at one of them at the traffic light once. I would have had no idea she could discern that they looked somewhat like people.

    1. RealCatsFan

I was down there when my eldest daughter did her GSP stint at Centre recently, and didn’t notice them if they are still around. And speaking of dogs, ours is so goofy that she was barking at floor mats from the car that I had hung on the fence to dry after I washed them. She did not like them at all! 🙂
