Jalen Hurts transferring…let the rumors fly.

    1. ClutchCargo

I can’t say anything, but just wait. Big news is coming.

    2. StillBP

oh there are already tons of them. Matt hasn’t started any for UK yet tho. Oklahoma, TCU, UCF. Even saw TN somewhere.

    3. runningunnin.454

Hurts to Miami, and once again Jarren to UK?

    4. ClutchCargo

Ok, ok… I heard we’re trading Gran and a quality control assistant to be named later to Alabama for Hurts and a bag of practice footballs. Just don’t tell anybody else.

    5. RealCatsFan

As long as they are magic footballs with Saban’s autograph on them. 🙂

    6. StillBP

Ah man, Clutch. I heard Gran told someone he’s 100% committed to KY.

    7. runningunnin.454

      I caught that, BP.

    8. ClutchCargo

Uh-oh. 110% is the new 100%, so 100% is only like 91%. He gone.

    9. mashburnfan1

Hurts to Maryland with his OC.

  2. Realme

So one guy yesterday says Gran is a “name to watch”, so Nick writes an article. Today Drew says he is a candidate for Georgia’s open OC position. I am skeptical that that is even true, but these idiots that are celebrating the idea he might leave are the worst. 10 wins, so let’s start over with a new OC. That won’t set us back any. Also, if he goes, Hinshaw will go with him, so 2 big changes.

    1. ClutchCargo

We have some of the dumbest football fans on the planet. True story.

    2. runningunnin.454

Are they the dumbest basketball fans on the plant, too?

    3. ClutchCargo

I feel like the really dumb football fans are basketball-only fans who just recently noticed that we even have a football team. So that is possible, rg.

    4. RealCatsFan

rg, sometimes I think that may be the case. I guess we win the prize. Is Cal just being nice by calling them “basketball bennies”? Sarcasm maybe? 😉

    5. Realme

I think Clutch just nailed it.

    6. ClutchCargo

Cal is definitely tweaking those fans when he calls them basketball bennies.

    7. StillBP

one nut job said we’d be able to beat GA next year if they have him. Actually I think a couple of them said it. Asinine.

    8. ClutchCargo

Those people put the ass in asinine.

  3. ClutchCargo

Georgia is more of a program on the rise than Clemson? Ok… Ha!

  4. RealCatsFan

So Auburn got their asses kicked last night. I guess they suck, have no chance to win a championship, and should fire their coach. At least according to some of the f-tards who like to post after a UK loss.

    1. runningunnin.454

After a T on the Auburn bench, Ole Miss fans were chanting, “Bruce is angry, Bruce is angry”. Ha ha

    2. RealCatsFan

Dang, I should have watched that. Might have been even more entertaining than watching Louisville lose. 😉

    3. ClutchCargo

I was channel surfing between those two games, and was slightly more interested in seeing Sweaty Bruce go down than the Dirty Birds game.

    4. runningunnin.454

Ole Miss is good; they can shoot, and have a beast in the paint. And, we have to go down there..ugh.

    5. J-Dub421

Yep, Louisville choked in OT at Pitt, and #14 MSU lost at South Carolina. Fire their coaches.

  5. RealCatsFan

When I hear Michael on the radio I immediate picture Cameron Tucker’s character from “Modern Family”.

  6. Realme

I don’t know what to think about the whole “Stoops holds OC’s back” theory. The whole narrative when Gran and Hinshaw came was that Stoops agreed to take a back seat and let him handle offensive play calling. Matt went on and on about it, and we all know what an insider he is.

    1. J-Dub421

Saying and doing are two different things. Gran and Brown were both known for high powered offenses, but were pretty conservative here. Some of it may be due to giving the best running back in school history the ball a lot, and rightly so, but I think there’s some truth to Stoops pushing for a more conservative offense.

    2. ClutchCargo

Stoops is a defensive coach at heart (obviously). So he views the offense as a way to keep the ball away from the other team’s offense. Score enough to win, and don’t give them a chance to come back.

    3. mashburnfan1

No issue giving Benny the ball, but on 3rd and 5 or longer you have to throw past the chains and we seldom did. Also if you go in with a game plan that does not work change it, have a backup plan and we beat A&M and maybe Tenn.

    4. J-Dub421

Sure, because the opposing defense will just let us do whatever we want. Need 5 yards? Just throw it 5 yards, easy peasy.

    5. Iamheasyouarehe

Mashburn still hasn’t learned his lesson about arguing with J-Dub, she smoked you the last time Mash!

    6. Realme

I agree with this comment by Mash. But not in a nasty negative way, if he is one of those commenters.

  7. Realme

This caller just hit a trifecta. Wastes time making the guys say how they are. Has to explain how much of a fan he is based on longevity. Has a Ky Joe style throat clearing issue.

  8. ClutchCargo

Matt is exactly right about the fans.

    1. Iamheasyouarehe

My life got better a few days ago when I stopped reading all comments except the show thread comments.

    2. J-Dub421

Yeah, I’ve started avoiding a lot of the comments sections. There’s just no point and I’m tired of watching the complainers complain. Trying to make them see reason is futile.

    3. StillBP

I’m on those comment sections less but I still haven’t completely withdrawn. I don’t typically argue unless they are outright bashing the players. I don’t even have kids but if I did, I would hate to see people saying they suck and they are garbage.

    4. StillBP

Exception is that I did argue on the Gran post yesterday even though it wasn’t about players.

    5. ClutchCargo

God bless you, StillBP. You are like a good nose tackle who keeps the trolls busy fighting you instead of whatever else they came there to do. 🙂

    6. J-Dub421

I used to do that, but eventually got tired of proverbially banging my head against a wall in regards to trolls. There is no reasoning with them and they are not rational.

    7. RealCatsFan

Yep, half the time I get on the comments just to watch BP take them down. 😉

    8. Iamheasyouarehe

BP is really good at it, I’m not that witty.

    9. ClutchCargo

J-Dub, I learned from the comments on that bullet hole story that you are an asswipe and a moron. What do you have to say for yourself? 🙂

    10. J-Dub421

Did people call me names after I called jaws a moron for demanding to know where the bullet fragments were? I didn’t even go back later, so I haven’t seen them. I stand by what I said. Her was a moron.

#1 common sense tells you the police would have collected them.
#2 read the danged article because it says that. People don’t read or think and then ask stupid questions. I get tired of it.

    11. Iamheasyouarehe

I learned from several comments never get into an argument with J-Dub, I’ve never seen her lose one.

    12. J-Dub421

I just went and looked. Some people are still trying to argue that it wasn’t a bullet. Even though the police collected bullet fragments from the scene, and a bullet is about the only thing that could go through a window like that (especially on the 25th floor).

  9. RealCatsFan

Seems like the venom and vitriol that we see with posts about sporting events seems to mirror the same stuff we see with political posts. It has turned into a deal where the two parties are like a favorite sports team for a lot of people. It’s all “our team” versus “their team”. And unfortunately social media is gasoline on that fire. The smart phone and the PC might end up as the downfall for our society in the end. 😉

    1. runningunnin.454

      True, RCF.

    2. Iamheasyouarehe

I agree RealCats, smart phones have become too important, people are constantly looking down at their phones, people don’t talk anymore. I know people who will only text, these are the reasons I went back to a flip phone. I have a computer at home, I don’t need one with me 24/7. I don’t do social media either and my life is better for it.

    3. Realme

I agree about the “teams” in politics and refuse to be part of either one. As far as the phone thing, Iam, you just described me. I hate when people insist on calling me when they could just send a text, lol. And my smartphone is not something I could just set aside for a day.

    4. ClutchCargo

I blame antisocial media. The smartphones just make it worse. I remember about 10-15 years ago when I used to travel a lot for work. I would frequently be alone, and when I went out for dinner I would usually sit at the bar because it felt less weird that way. I would always end up in conversation with the person or people around me. Those days are long gone when you look around and see almost everyone with their faces buried in their phones.

    5. Iamheasyouarehe

Realme, I thought I’d miss my smartphone but I don’t. I remember before cell phones if someone called you on your home phone and you didn’t answer they would leave a message (once answering machines came along) and that was good enough, nowadays people can’t accept not being able to contact someone immediately. Sometimes I don’t even carry my cell phone….call me crazy.

    6. Iamheasyouarehe

Clutch nailed it. Go to lunch or the cafeteria at work and everyone is looking at their smartphones, no one talking just like Clutch said.

    7. ClutchCargo

I have a friend who is pretty much a text-only guy. We have a running joke about me never getting his texts because I put my phone on my dresser when I get home from work, and may not look at it again for several hours.

    8. Realme

Also me. I hate it when people interrupt my podcasts and Twittering to try to talk to me in public. It’s like, don’t you see I’m buried in my phone, with earbuds in? So in other words, you guys are right, and I am guilty.

    9. Realme

In my defense, downtown Lexington is chock full of creeps I don’t want to interact with.

    10. RealCatsFan

Social media also makes it easy to filter out those with a different point of view and to only associate with like-minded people. In fact, that is part of Facebook’s algorithm. So instead of being with a group of friends who may disagree about things, but still know how to discuss things civilly and respect each other’s differences, it is easier to just disparage that person from a distance. There is no face to face interaction, and the social skills associated with that are either never learned in the first place or they atrophy. It’s far easier to hate someone from a distance than it is when you really know them.

    11. ClutchCargo

      Hell yeah, RCF.

    12. Iamheasyouarehe

Well said RealCats! Saw an interesting podcast on Facebook the other day, I was skeptical looking at the cover photo but it’s good stuff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7kf5tc7bA4&frags=pl%2Cwn

    13. ClutchCargo

It’s almost the opposite of the normal way to interact with friends. In the old days, you became friendly and then discovered what differences you had, and then it became a matter of getting past those differences and even agreeing to disagree because you valued each others’ friendship.

    14. RealCatsFan

Clutch, kind of like in the movies, where you get into a fistfight and then sit down to have a beer together. 😀

    15. J-Dub421

I’m sure I’m guilty of being on my phone too much, but I try really hard not to be on my phone if I’m out with other people or at social gatherings.

  10. ClutchCargo

Matt talking about fishing makes me smile and shake my head.

    1. StillBP

does his nose whistle scare the fish away?

    2. runningunnin.454

Matt would get finned…watch out for the catfish.

    3. ClutchCargo

I can only imagine the shrill, little-girl-like screams. lol

    4. Iamheasyouarehe

      Lol! You guys kill me!

    5. RealCatsFan

I would love to see Matt try to bait a hook. He would either harpoon his own finger, or run off screaming like an eight year old girl. 🙂

    6. ClutchCargo

I would seriously pay $100 to see the look on his face if he caught a bass or bluegill during the spawn, tried to remove the hook, and had it “pee” on him as he held it up.

  11. Realme

That would be just like Louisville to tank so we don’t get a quality win out of them.

    1. RealCatsFan

Yeah, but then they would find a way to beat dook so they could try to hold that out on us. It would help us a bit, but would not be worth all the noise.

    2. runningunnin.454

Don’t think we can count on UL being considered a quality win. But, UNC will be.

    3. ClutchCargo

I would never want UofL to be good just to boost our SOS. I don’t care what happens with them, as long as we beat them every year.

  12. RealCatsFan

OMG, what a horrible story about the girl at UK committing suicide in the parking lot at Kroger field. A 14 year old girl in my daughter’s volleyball club killed herself on Election Day. We are all still in shock and devastated by it. I can think of absolutely nothing that is more horrible for a parent to experience.

    1. Realme

      No words. It’s beyond tragic.

    2. J-Dub421

It’s so sad. I can’t imagine what their parents are going through.

    3. ClutchCargo

As the father of a teenage girl, that hits close to home. Horrible news.

  13. ClutchCargo

Those fishermen leaving college early for the pros is killing college fishing!!! They need to stay in school so we can watch them fish for four years!!!
