They will preview the season ahead and, hopefully, track down someone important to interview on air.

Missed most of the show yesterday…what is happening next Tuesday?

    1. Realme

      They didn’t say.

    2. runningunnin.454

      Hate when they do that.

  2. RealCatsFan

Matt forgets that dook lives by a different set of rules in the eyes of the NCAA and ESPN because the Vampire controls everything.

    1. runningunnin.454

And vampires live forever unless you have a wooden stake or it wanders out into daylight.

    2. J-Dub421

Have we ever seen Coach K outside during the day?

    3. runningunnin.454

Nope, and I hear when they play Notre Dame, he has their priest searched to make sure he doesn’t have any holy water with him.

  3. J-Dub421

Is this dude really whining about Hami testing the draft waters??? He didn’t go! Get over yourself!!!

    1. Realme

I have a perpetually negative co-worker that has not spoken to me since I said I had expected Hami to test the waters all along, and had no problem with it. He practically popped a blood vessel.

    2. JTHinton

      Probably a UL fan

    3. J-Dub421

I just don’t get that mentality. Who turns down millions of dollars? Ask your co-worker if he’d be willing to continue to do his job for the next year for free.

    4. Realme

He can’t be reasoned with and I am enjoying the peace and quiet. It’s like when my mother in law isn’t speaking to my husband. It’s not a good thing, but it’s kind of pleasant.

  4. Realme

Like I always say, if you don’t “know” the players in this internet age, that’s on you. I’m excited about all of them. And I have no shortage of interest in both bball and fball. Why do people act like it’s hard to follow 2 sports?

    1. J-Dub421

    2. runningunnin.454

Talk about baseball, soccer, and hockey…and blow their minds.

    3. secrick

Don’t dare throw in Volleyball. Darn they are good.

    4. runningunnin.454

Shut out TA&M last night, ready for No 1 Florida Sunday.

    5. J-Dub421

      Cats Volleyball is crushing it.

  5. Realme

    Who are we listening to?

    1. runningunnin.454

      Joel Justus.

    2. RealCatsFan

Not sure. Sounds a little bit like Rex.

    3. J-Dub421

      Joel Justice.

    4. Realme

He was good, but Cal needs to teach him to throw in a bad Dad joke or a weird noise every now and then.

  6. Realme

    AMEN caller!

  7. runningunnin.454

Neal Brown’s team had a bad case of LSU hangover last night; couldn’t do anything right. Felt bad for him.

    1. RealCatsFan

It happens. As Cal likes to say, they’re not machines.

  8. RealCatsFan

If Matt and Ryan are wrong, and UNC gets hammered, it is going to absolutely make my WEEK! Fingers crossed.

    1. J-Dub421

I don’t understand how they can get around that UNC played guys who would have been ineligible due to poor grades without the fake classes.

    2. RealCatsFan

Exactly. And all it takes is for ONE players to be ineligible.

    3. runningunnin.454

I don’t think it’s a matter of classes being “easy”. Did the students actually meet the professors, and did the classes actually meet? And are we to believe Roy Williams didn’t know about the classes? Bilas is an ACC homer.

  9. Realme

If there’s evidence the women’s team was steered towards fake classes for athlete qualification, then there’s obviously evidence the fake classes for athlete qualification existed, and it’s easy enough to see men’s bball players took them. Also, in the case of Louisville, the NCAA report had more details that the media didn’t already have, so we don’t know what the NCAA actually has until the report comes out.

  10. RealCatsFan

So basically this new committee will ensure that Duke will continue to get a pass by the NCAA for violating rules. Gee, how surprising!

    1. runningunnin.454

Grant Hill makes another perfect PASS for Duke.

  11. Realme

Wow this is sad. This caller reminds us all that sports aren’t life and death.

  12. RealCatsFan

Wow, what a call. Very sad to hear what this guy went through – I could not imagine the pain he is feeling. Prayers out to him and his family. Biggest fear in my life is for anything to happen to one of my kids, chokes me up just to think about it.

  13. Realme

Any Kentucky Louisville game is worthy of a vacation day.

    1. runningunnin.454

Already booked it….told them I won’t be there.

  14. secrick

So the report is just now coming out and N.C. has a year to respond and then the NCAA has a year to respond to their respond and by 2022 this should be settled. Does that sound about right?

    1. runningunnin.454

Don’t many fund raisers can they schedule?

    2. ukjaybrat

i thought it was already settled that unc was going to receive no punishment.

  15. RealCatsFan

I thought police were getting free donuts for decades. Why not Taco Bell? 🙂

  16. runningunnin.454

Lots of restaurants offer freebies to police that work their neighborhoods. I used to frequent an IHOP in Birmingham late at night, and it always looked like a police convention.

    1. RealCatsFan

What better way to protect your business than to have a bunch of cops hanging around? Probably cheaper to feed them than to hire a private security guard.

  17. RealCatsFan

I think Southern Accents was a good album by Tom Petty, but I still say Wildflowers was some of his best work. Check it out if you haven’t heard it. Lots of really good songs that don’t get a lot of airplay.

    1. J-Dub421

Petty has so many great songs.

    2. 4everUKblue

I agree TP has so many really good songs that most people have never heard. I like Southern Accents a lot too, he was one of the great song writers of the last 3 or 4 decades.

  18. RealCatsFan

I still wish the men’s basketball team would play one exhibition game at Memorial, with the proceeds going to charity. Make it general admission, maybe some kind of lottery for the tickets. UK could even roll out some kind of retro uniforms for the players. If we could entice a school who was an old, traditional rival from way back that has fallen on hard times, it would add to the mystique.

    1. runningunnin.454

    2. RealCatsFan

You know, that would be the perfect payback for that 2011 game where their crowd got obnoxious and stampeded our players. Invite them to Memorial, let all the crazies take the lower level tickets, and then let them stampede all over the indiana players at the end of the game.

  19. RealCatsFan

A friend will help you move. A TRUE FRIEND will help you move a body. 😀

    1. runningunnin.454

      Really good fellas.
