Kentucky and four other schools pursuing the Newman/Stone duo the hardest

From the hardworking people at ZagsBlog, Malik Newman is in Las Vegas at the LeBron James Skills Academy and he had an interesting thing to say about his recruitment. Newman said he still hopes to play with Diamond Stone in college and there are five schools recruiting them the hardest as a package deal. Those schools are UConn, Kansas, NC State, Miami and Kentucky.

Regarding his buddy Diamond Stone, Newman said, “He’s a dominant post player. That’s something I’ve always wanted to play with because I figure that if he can get the post going, that can help me out because that can really spread the floor.”

Stone still doesn’t hold an offer from Kentucky but Cal and his staff are on him.

I always thought these “package” deals were gay. Grow some dang huevos and go wherever you fit the best; you and your feminine buddy will be fine apart.

      O Louisville troll…O Louisville troll…will never have a chance at a 5* recruit…O Louisville troll

Sorry. It’s just hard to be positive when my only friends sleep underneath the bridge next to the Louisville skate park near I71 and I65.

If any amount of research had been done you would find that Malik recently made the comment “We would like to be a package deal, but I am going to go where I feel the most comfortable.”

    Diamond Stone responded:

“Yeah, we both need to make sure its the right fit for us before we limit any options being a package deal”

they arent a true package deal…

Here is another article written on June 20th….

“Bob Stone told that the two will team in college if their respective recruitments work out that way, but a package deal isn’t – no pun intended – set in Stone.”

“Our objective is to put Diamond in the best position to meet his goals and be successful and I’m sure the Newmans feel the same,” the elder Stone said.”

That took less than a minute to find…

I bet it takes you more than a minute to find your tally whacker.

Maybe it’s already been answered, but can someone tell me why exactly Cal hasn’t offered Stone? If he’s supposed to be the best big man in his class, and if it would help get Newman, why haven’t the staff offered?

    1. Dude

Maybe because we have 17 centers right now, and both parties (UK/Stone) want to see what happens. I highly doubt Stone will sign early – the top recruits usually wait until the last minute.

Also hopefully we get this guy named thon maker if he reclassifys

    3. Bleed Blue

With Maker likely to reclassify do you take Stone just so you can get Newman, who we don’t need by the way. No you don’t take Stone just to get Newman, you take Diallo and Maker. If we get Stone we don’t get one of those two and myself would rather have them over Newman and Stone. We don’t need Newman. Where are you going to play him? He is a ball dominant player. Will will have Ulis, Booker, and Matthews. You want to keep the ball in Ulis’ hands as much as possible. The player that we need most in this class is Brown. I say we don’t offer Stone and if Newman still wants to come so be it.

    Both these guys are duds!
