John Calipari will travel to Maryland tomorrow to visit one of the top point guards in next year’s recruiting class.

According to the good people at the Cats Pause, Calipari will be in Bel Air on Tuesday to visit Immanuel Quickley, one of five high school juniors with a scholarship offer from Kentucky.

Quickley picked up his offer from the Cats back in October before he took an unofficial visit to Big Blue Madness. He was the first point guard in the class to catch UK’s eye and earn an offer; the only other PG on the board is Quentin Grimes, who Calipari offered last Month.

Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Miami, Providence, Virginia and Maryland are the other schools in contention for Quickley.

If he comes here, can we go ahead and call him the fresh prince?

    6′ 3″ and 175 translates to 6′ 0″ and 145 right.

No, it translates to 6’5″ and 195 when he gets on campus haha!

This recruiting thing has to be tricky if in fact this class isn’t comprised of that many one-and-done players as many “experts” say. However, just because they say it doesn’t make it true. This is why I sort of don’t want Mark Smith to join, and would only like to add either Bamba or Bam to what we already have. The X factor being that Diallo returns which is tricky in itself. I’m probably in the minority with that thinking though.
