Someone tell Churchill Downs that there’s some competition in town. While thoroughbreds are running on the dirt and turf tracks in Louisville and Lexington, down in Scott County there’s a different kind of derby taking everyone by storm.
As funny as this may seem, this event going on yearly in Georgetown is for a really good cause. Put on by the Kentucky Dachshund Rescue group to help raise money to save abandoned or abused dogs. If you are interested in one of the rescues, check out their website and give one of these dogs their forever home.
As always, make sure you are tuning into Hey Kentucky every weeknight to see what is going on in the Bluegrass State.
