Four-star safety picks Michigan over Kentucky

Kentucky’s been on a recruiting roll this summer, but they weren’t able to pry a four-star safety from his home state school.

Makari Paige, the No. 22 safety in the 2020 class, committed to Michigan tonight, which isn’t terribly surprising considering he visited the Wolverines for their BBQ at the Big House event this past weekend. Kentucky was in his top four, along with Ohio State and Penn State.

The Cats have other irons in the fire at safety, namely Vito Tisdale from Bowling Green and Rickey Hyatt Jr. from Westerville, Ohio; in fact, all three picks in Hyatt’s Crystal Ball are for Kentucky, a very promising sign.

He chose Go Blue over BIG BLUE?
He chose the Big Pre-TEN-end over the SEC?

In the end he wasn’t destined for greatness!
