Kentucky’s secondary just got more talented. MJ Devonshire has committed to Kentucky over Pitt, West Virginia and Ohio State. He made the announcement in a NSD ceremony at his school.
A four-star recruit by Rivals, the No. 32 cornerback in America was the 3A Player of the Year in the state of Pennsylvania. The Aliquippa native had eight interceptions and eight punt return touchdowns, one shy of the national record. Devonshire also played offense, scoring 24 touchdowns as a running back and wide receiver. Each scored averaged 42.2 yards per play.

Vince Marrow found this gem later in the recruiting process, just an hour southeast of Youngstown, Ohio. Marrow and Mark Stoops’ connection to the area played a part in MJ’s recruitment, as well as his connection to John Calipari.
The son of a coach, Devonshire is a tactician with all of the tools to be an impact player in the SEC.
