Over the weekend, 2015 small forward Montaque Gill-Caesar took an unofficial visit to Kentucky, and had such a good time that he’s talking about reclassifying to 2014. Gill-Caesar, nicknamed “Teki,” told ZagsBlog that he “felt comfortable” at Kentucky, and that Cal talked to him about who’s possibly leaving after this season and the opportunities he may have in Lexington. Teki plays for Huntington Prep, and his coach Rob Fulford implied that the number of players leaving UK for the NBA after this season may have the 6’6″ 200 lbs. junior thinking of reclassifying:
“They have to bring in more guys,” Huntington Prep coach Rob Fulford told SNY.tv. “Obviously, losing most of the current team, they need guys that can come in and play. He knows that Teki is good enough, whether ’14 or ’15.”
Teki is considered the 19th best player in the 2015 class by ESPN, has offers from Providence, Illinois, Baylor, Memphis, Missouri, and others, and says he hasn’t decide yet whether or not he’ll make the jump to 2014. If he does, he could be a nice back-up option if the Cats miss on Stanley Johnson, the best small forward left in the class.
Watch him work:
