Brian Bowen Sr. details payment from former UofL assistant

Brian Bowen’s father is back on the stand today for cross-examination and is currently detailing the $1,300 payment he received from former Louisville assistant Kenny Johnson.

According to Pete Brush, Bowen Sr. said he asked Johnson for money to help make rent during the summer of 2017, and although Johnson was initially shocked by the request, he eventually relented, giving Bowen Sr. $1,300 in cash.

Bowen Sr. insists that his son had no knowledge of the dealings with UofL and Adidas:

We’ll have more from the trial as the day goes on. Stay tuned…

This was after he got the ADIDAS money? What happened – did he invest it and wasn’t liquid enough?

I’m sorry, but there is no way that Brian Bowen, Jr. didn’t know about money being exchanged re: his recruitment. He had basically no relationship with anyone at U of L, they weren’t recruiting him at the time, and he suddenly committed to them without even having taken a visit to U of L. A kid isn’t just going to commit to a school out of the blue like that with no explanation.

It’s not that hard to believe that a father would keep the fact that he is taking advantage of his son from him. I’m not saying he didn’t know what was going on here, but it’s possible.

Based on how the ncaa treated Thomas Moore, this should kill UofL because we all know how even handed the ncaa is.

UL blatantly cheated while on probation. Some serious reckoning to come unless the NCAA ignores the whole FBI investigation. Not sure how they can.

Which means they will definitely ignore the whole FBI investigation. lol
