How will the Cats fare the rest of the season? The “Thinking Out Loud” crew on the SEC Network broke down Kentucky’s remaining games last night and Marcus Spears said he thinks the only team left on the schedule capable of beating the Cats is Georgia.
“Nothing about the way Kentucky has played has told me they’re not better than Vanderbilt, Missouri, Tennessee, Middle Tennessee and Louisville. Nothing that they’ve done. They just went into Kyle Field and pushed Texas A&M to the brink. This is a really good football team.”
The dates are wrong on this graphic, but here are Kentucky’s chances to win from ESPN’s Football Power Index:
Greg McElroy has Kentucky losing to Georgia and Missouri, but Spears said Kentucky’s defense, particularly Josh Allen, will contain the Tigers.
“Drew Lock wanna drop back 50 times? Forty-one is going to be a problem in that game. All of those things lead me to believe Kentucky’s going to finish the season 10-2.”
Aren’t those dates wrong for the game? UGA is 11/3.
Yeah, looks like they didn’t figure in the bye week.
I honestly feel that we beat UGA. Our defense is good enough to give them problems and they have shown to have problems in the 1st half against a few SEC opponents. Mizzou could have kept it close in the 4th if their receivers would have held on to the ball.
I hope you’re right. We have to get better play from the QB though. Granted, I still do wonder (based on what many have said) if he was handcuffed by the coaches before the game and if that’s why he played so scared.
Anyway, GO CATS!!!
The problem is when Lock drops back 50 times, they’ll hold Josh 40-45 times and only get called for it 1 or 2 times, if we’re lucky. The rest of the time he will be in pass coverage.
And that’s all the more reason I wish Denzil Ware was on this team. Can you imagine him coming from the opposite side as Josh? Wow!!!
They had Josh Paschal coming from the other side, his situation is unfortunate but the future is bright when he returns.
My fingers are crossed that we will see both Joshes playing together before the season is over.*
* I am fully aware that the kid’s health is by far the most important thing. Just saying that I hope it works out that he is ready to come back sometime this season, if only to play in the 4 games that would still allow him to RS.
That would be great!
I got a better one… Imagine Josh and Bud on the same team! Wouldn’t that have been fun to watch?
And Zadarius!!
