UPDATE: Terry Wilson will visit Kentucky this weekend

@TerryTouchdown3

Earlier this week, four-star JUCO QB and Kentucky target Terry Wilson tweeted that he was visiting somewhere “special” this weekend.

It was later reported that the “special” place was Kentucky, and many people thought the Wildcats were the favorite to land the former Oregon quarterback.

Just a day after announcing his visit, he had a change of heart and decided he would visit Nebraska this weekend instead of UK. After Scott Frost was named head coach for the Huskers, his interest in the program spiked, and many thought a commitment was imminent when he changed his visit schedule.

After announcing the Nebraska visit, reports leaked out that Wilson would still visit Lexington sometime next week. This morning, Justin Rowland of Rivals.com tweeted that fans “(shouldn’t) buy the story that Kentucky’s out of the Terry Wilson race.”

Tonight, our friend TJ Walker at Rivals reported that Wilson would, in fact, be visiting Kentucky this weekend.

After so many back and forths with this story, I don’t know what to believe anymore. What I do know, however, is that Wilson would be an absolute stud at Kentucky and could push for the starting job next season. He’s that talented.

Bring him on home, Stoops.

WOW, this is big news. Bigger news would be an autograph from the young man, maybe on Dec. 20th.

  2. jaws2

Whatever. I’ll wait until he signs to care.

      And no one cares

I hope we get this kid. Him plus Benny and Lynn Bowden would make a very explosive offense.

UK is in a better position to be more auccessful than Nebraska next season. We have alot of Oline returning. Benny Snell, Dorian Baker and Bowden. Add TD Terry and that is alot of playmakers.

I really hope we can reel this kid in. I’m not very confident in the QBs currently on our roster. Barker is the only experience and doesn’t have the “it” factor. A lot of arm talent I just haven’t seen him perform well besides one half of football.

The quarterbacks on our current roster have not played at all, aside from a couple of starts a while ago by Barker who was a 4 star. All of them lack meaningful experience. So I don’t see how anyone could have confidence in them, but I also don’t see how anyone could write them off. But if Mark Stoops signs Terry Wilson, then Wilson is being brought in here to start. You don’t sign a junior college transfer to sit.

rembrandt, technically SJ was signed on to come here and sit. he only played because barker got hurt.

    3. ukjaybrat

      granted he wasn’t a 4star recruit… just saying

People on our side of the fence aren’t paying attention to the fact they are at any time 4 Star QB Adrian Martinez will announce he’s flipping to Nebraska. Think Terry commits this weekend.

  7. notFromhere

Great to hear he’s visiting with a lot of the commitments this weekend. Couldn’t be a better time. Hope we can keep who we have so far and some people that really want to be UK Wildcats

Hold up just a second…..”he could push for the starting spot next year! He’s that talented”. Last I checked all we have is Barker and Hoak. I’m not that impressed by either especially Barker so I would certainly hope he’s talented enough to take the job. I hate to sound that way but…..COME ON MAN!

    1. Cokely53

That’s just playing it safe wording. Trying not to oversell him before he is even on the team. If they are going all in on this kid like it sounds, he’s gonna start.

    2. Cokely53

He’s not coming if he’s just competing for the starting job.

    3. TBW3011

Barker has played a game and a half healthy and Hoak hasn’t taken a snap. We don’t know much of anything about what either can do.

  9. TBW3011

What you absolutely DO NOT know is whether or not he’d be a stud at Kentucky. Please stop with the ridiculous hyperbole.

Chris43 ur an idiot we also have Danny Clark and if wilson doesn’t come I would Hope he would be the starter.. if wilson comes and I think he will commit then he definitely should be and will be the starter from day one.. bye bye goal or barker.. just saying.. but if not dude don’t forget Clark because he has arm talent size and scramble ability as well and if one of the two aren’t starting next year I’d be very suprised.. the game is changing and you need size running ability and good accuracy to be successful anywhere where you go. Go cats and come in down my MR WILSON we would appreciate you and your talent here.

  11. Solidtilt1

Barker or hoak one will be transferring because neither is as good as Clark.. and if wilson comes forget it this is his team for sure and we will be dangerous offensively and good..
