The College Football Playoff has been announced

Kentucky football may be taking a break for a few weeks, but we saw one of the biggest college football weekends we’ve seen in quite some time.

We touched on some of the last night’s wild results this morning, including Clemson’s demolition of Miami, Oklahoma dominating against TCU, Georgia’s revenge blowout against Auburn, and Ohio State squeaking out a victory against undefeated Wisconsin.

As a result, the College Football Playoff committee announced today the final four teams are Clemson, Oklahoma, Georgia, and Alabama.

It will be Clemson vs. Alabama in the Sugar Bowl and Oklahoma vs. Georgia in the Rose Bowl.

So far, the public opinion has been interesting…

What do you guys think?

The CFP was setup to accomplish the goal of the best four teams, and Alabama is one of the best four teams in the country, without a doubt. I could forgive OSU’s blowout loss to OU if that was their lone loss, but the throttling they took from Iowa took them out of consideration for me. The committee got it right.

THE OHIO STATE shouldn’t be complaining

  3. VinDatuk

The Hello Jerry tweet is ridiculous…Alabama scheduled #3 Florida State and dirt rolled them with a healthy Francois…at a neutral site. How about OSU doesn’t get blown the F out at home by Oklahoma and then curb stomped at an Iowa team that lost to fing Purdue. Ohio State fans are the worst.

    SEC rules….as usual.
Hello Badgers; tough to lose an undefeated season…ain’t it?
THAT U in Ohio has nothing to complain about…Don’t get smacked twice.

  5. Smyrna_Cat

It was the right decision. Ohio State has no legit complaint.

Sorry buckeyes, you had 2 losses. Better luck next year….The Best 4 teams are in

  7. KMcKinnon29

    The committee got it right.

I’m all for anything that pisses off Skip Bayliss. Or kills him, for that matter.

Alabama had one bad game Ohio State got murdered twice once by a 7-5 team Alabama doesn’t lose by 31 to a 7-5 Iowa team they made the correct decision

Ohio state shouldn’t have even been mentioned with Alabama. They play no real competition and got killed by an alright team. And I’m totally biased against Ohio state. I hate them😂

It absolutely BLOWS MY MIND that anyone would argue that Alabama doesn’t deserve to be in the top four. I understand people are tired of seeing them there every season but maybe that’s just what happens when you’re a good football team. If you try to tell me that OSU deserved it over Bama, you are coming solely from a place of butthurt – not logic. I can’t wait to see Alabama win the whole damn thing. I don’t mean to come off as some kissass Bama fan but I just know how it feels to get screwed by these committees and it feels good to see them get it right for once. Skip Bayless can SMD. A career built on attention-seeking, ridiculous, absurd hot takes. That guy is a phony.

Weaksconsin prematurely delivered a big fat 15 LB BABY name ‘loss’.
    Choketh – chokers.

Climpson – climp son has zero ;bidness’ is this.

Ohio Shtank made their bed seasonally – earlier.

    GO DAWGS!!!!

Excuse me but didn’t OSU get dominated on their home field by Oklahoma and oh yeah totally dominated by unranked Iowa? I mean if we’re talking about being dominated let’s talk about real domination.

The fact OSU saying they got robbed is funny because they got in last year without winning their conference and Penn St was clearly the better team with a Conf Ship.

    1. My Dixie Wrecked

Have not once heard OSU saying they were robbed.

    2. Eazy

I know a bunch of them who think they got robbed. But the smart ones are actually relieved they didn’t get in. They know Clemson would kill them again just like last year. The Big 10 has been absolutely awful in the last two playoffs. They’ve been out scored 83-0!!! Lol. That’s why they don’t belong.

  15. My Dixie Wrecked

Haven’t heard a die-hard Buckeye fan complain at all. They all agree the Iowa loss was bad. The only argument that could be made is their schedule is so much tougher than the SEC teams. Just can’t overlook the Iowa loss and they all agree.

    1. 4everUKblue

Are you in Ohio? Just curious how it is that you have you finger on the pulse of all Buckeye fans.

    2. My Dixie Wrecked

      I live in Columbus.

    3. Eazy

There schedule was barely better than Bamas but Auburn and GA had tougher schedules than most of the Big 10. And the Big 10 is overrated. 1 title in the last 15 years and they’ve been destroyed the last 2 years in the playoffs. The SEC has won 8 of the last 11 National Titles and 5 8 of the last 10 bowl games vs the Big 10. Anyone who really knows football clearly knows the SEC is better than the Big 10 all around and especially at the top. ACC is better than the Big 10 too. The South absolutely dominates football.

I can tell you one Buckeye that is complaining….Joey Galloway and while Kirk Herbstreit isn’t complaining it’s easy to tell he is not pleased. Both former players at OSU.

Watched Wisconsin-Ohio State last night because I knew the Clemson game would be a blowout.
The announcers all game long and at half time were saying the game was a quarterfinal and Ohio State should be in the playoffs.
Obviously Big 10 homers, and they sounded like people trying to convince themselves of something they knew wasn’t true.

    6. KayutsBy90

I also wouldn’t say that their strength of schedule was that much better than Bama’s. OSU’s SOS was actually a couple spots behind Bama going into the game with Wisconsin, who had a severely overinflated rank that gave OSU a boost.

  16. krautdog

I love it that Ohio State finished fifth-that is so cooool!!!

  17. 4everUKblue

I have disliked Ohio state since Woody Hayes punched that Clemson player running down the sideline, not to mention Urban Meyer is another good reason to dislike them.

  18. Sasquatch

I don’t care about bama or osu, but I think it’s stupid that a team can win a national championship without winning the conference title first. Cfb season is too short to make separation between 4 and 5. If conference titles don’t matter, just let Vegas pick the 4 best teams and go from there. At least that way the 2 best teams aren’t seeded 1 and 4 and playing right away.

Glad you’re not calling the shots!
