Terry Touchdown, ladies and gentlemen. He was named the Manning Award Quarterback of the Week thanks to his performance down in the Swamp on Saturday.
Wilson went 11-of-16 through the air for 151 yards and two touchdowns and he also rushed for 105 yards and a score. The winner was announced via a Facebook contest where Wilson narrowly received more “likes” than Missouri’s Drew Lock. Lock had the better stats, but he didn’t end a 31-year losing streak or beat a top 25 team on the road.
Folks, UK’s offense is getting more attention than any year I can remember. Maybe 2007? Benny Snell is finally getting noticed nationally and Terry Touchdown isn’t far behind.
Let’s pad those stats against Murray State, stay healthy and keep this thing rolling.
Also, I know we’re all fatigued with jersey talk around these parts but any chance we could make the all-white uniforms the permanent combination, both home and away? Hey, the Cowboys can do it. That was such a sharp look on Saturday night.
It was a close race but @UKFootball QB Terry Wilson (@TerryTouchdown3 ) earned Manning Award QB of the Week for week 2! Making his second career start, Wilson led the Wildcats to a 27-16 road victory over No. 25 Florida .https://t.co/1Gmpmksq7T pic.twitter.com/6J4utqSpWz
