Tennessee safety: Kentucky will “put their face in the fan” to win

One of the defining characteristics of this Kentucky football team is physicality, and Tennessee safety Nigel Warrior had an interesting way of describing the lengths to which the Cats will go to win yesterday.

They want to put their face in the fan,” the Tennessee safety said of Kentucky’s offense. “They’re coming at you. They want every yard. They’re coming consistently. They want to make plays on the ball. They want to make plays with the ball. You know what I’m saying?”

If you’ve watched Benny Snell play football, then yes, you do. Benny’s had a rough few weeks, but should be able to get back on track vs. a Tennessee rushing defense that allows 161 rushing yards per game. Instead of shredding their face in a fan, hopefully tomorrow’s Saturday will be a little more like this for the offense:

    What does that even mean

Not sure what that means, but it feels true. If Benny had to push through a Big Ass fan to score, he would.

Let’s make sure those facemasks are securely attached. Could be a rough day otherwise.

I think he meant we willing to grind through anything no matter what you throw at us. At least that’s what I hope he meant if not this boy needs to be put through the concussion protocol immediately.

That’s actually high praise for our team. For an opponent to come out and say that we’re going to fight for every yard means we have a reputation where every inch and play matters.

We hear every week Benny is going to eat up defenses but they stack the box and he goes up the gut for 3 every time. We cannot hit someone deep in stride all season. I really want Clark to get some reps Hoak is done for me that ship has sailed. But I’d like to let Clark throw a few deep ,run some screens ,reverses, run Benny/rose ,and play action. This way he can roll out and make some plays to cj ,run with blockers ,or hit a guy over the top! Simple plays for him that will be effective and keep defenses honest. They say his accuracy sucks but throw it when your guy hits 30 yards and air it out for a 65 yarder it’s just timing. Give this guy his own set with 3 wr a te and a rb to work with. 10 plays. I like terry but it’s dink and dunk and a lot jittery turnover football Danny doesn’t seem jittery! He had one bad play but it was a first down and all his others were good! I think we’re missing on getting him reps you don’t want him to leave he’s the #2 as of now!

Doesn’t matter who we play. Benny between the tackles and lack of a consistent passing game is the MO of KY football. Throw the ball sideways and hope for the best. Stack the box with 7 with the linebackers 3 yards off the ball and MAKE Wilson beat you. We SHOULD beat TN easily, but Gran will make it difficult; as usual.
