Stoops says it’s still unlikely Ryan Timmons will play on Saturday

After Ryan Timmons sprained his ankle against Alabama State, Mark Stoops says it’s unlikely the talented freshman wide receiver will play against Missouri on Saturday. However, Stoops also said that it looks like junior Javess Blue will play after being hit in the eye with a football during warm-ups Saturday night (I’m still not over the absurdity of that statement). The Cats will certainly need him with both Timmons and Alexander Montgomery sidelined by injuries.

Other quick notes: Stoops said he thinks Jalen Whitlow and the UK offense had one of their better days against the UK defense. They’ll need all that and more if the Cats have any chance of knocking off Missouri.

Nick Roush will be by a little later with a full rundown of Stoops’ comments.

I hope the other WRs step up Sat. Timmons has made some big plays and someone needs to fill that void.
