Kentucky Offers Another 2018 Quarterback

Montgomery Advertiser

Last night the Kentucky football coaches offered another quarterback in the 2018 recruiting class, the third since Jarren Williams’ re-decommitment.

Montgomery, Alabama quarterback James Foster announced on Twitter last night that he received a scholarship from the University of Kentucky.  A three-star prospect and the No. 14 dual-threat quarterback according to the 247 Composite Rankings, Foster was committed to play for Missouri from April through October.  Foster re-opened his recruitment the day after he received an offer from LSU.

Along with LSU, Foster also holds offers from Georgia, Louisville, Alabama, and most recently Florida State.  All eight of Foster’s Crystal Ball predictions are for Ed Orgeron’s LSU Tigers.

Since Williams’ second decommitment from Kentucky the Cats have also offered Matthew Baldwin and former Oregon QB Terry Wilson.

Watch Foster do work:

We’re throwing darts now; desperation time.

How is offering a QB with offers from LSU, Georgia, etc considered throwing darts? Seems to me that throwing darts would be offering a recruit that has low level or very limited offers.

Don’t understand why he wasn’t offered earlier regardless of if we stood a chance or not.

    Jalen whitlow, Morgan Newton type

As a 3 star he will never find the field at the blue blood programs. They are recruiting him as a backup. At least at KY he has a chance to play.

Thats our problem. Getting a backup or 3 star guy is huge news

James Foster is not a backup. ESPN has him tagged as a Four Star, and the fifth nationally ranked dual-threat quarterback. He’s the number one prospect out of Alabama. Kid is an absolute stud.

At least we are not competing against MAC, OVC, and CUSA for players.

Cudos for correctly using the first and only time I’ve ever read the word re-decommitment.
