Kentucky-Missouri By the Numbers

2 — Kentucky has the nation’s second-best scoring defense.  Add a zero four Missouri, the nation’s #20 scoring offense.

8 — This is an odd stat, but it doesn’t bode well for the Cats. In the last 40 years, eight times an unranked team was favored by at least 6 points over a top 12 team. Those eight teams are 8-0 straight up, 7-1 against the spread.

11 — Total sacks by Missouri’s defense this season.  Josh Allen and Boogie Watson have 12.

12 — Missouri has the nation’s #12 total offense.  Kentucky has the nation’s #12 total defense.  Today the rubber meets the road.

20 — The most points somebody has scored against Kentucky’s defense this year.

48 — Drew Lock’s completion percentage vs. SEC opponents.  All of his numbers against SEC defenses are unimpressive.

121 — The SEC’s worst passing defense (287.4 ypg) is ranked 121st nationally.  It’s the perfect time, and defense, for Terry Wilson to have a bounce back game.

154.5 — Average yards Benny Snell has against Mizzou in two meetings.  He’s scored two touchdowns in each win.

SEC network aired look-in of Stoops during the Vandy game. He was in Gran’s ear there a few times. Hope they come with a balanced offensive attack or even 60-40 run to pass ratio.

On paper, we are better by two touchdowns. Just a shame games aren’t played on paper haha. I think it will be a good game and a struggle, but cats ultimately win 28-17
