Will be there and so should everyone else big recruit going to be there we need to show our support

    1. coal miner

But this is supposed to be a sports website and a sports radio show far to many times we have heard one sided politics just isn’t right because like it or not both parties listen

    2. 4everUKBlue

Excellent point miner, I hate that Obama destroyed so many people’s livelihood in the coal industry.

    3. magicat13

And now that trump is in office and promised to get coal going coal companies are going bankrupt. You agreed to much on politics on this site and then you spew crap about Obama. Hush

    4. coal miner

Thinks a lot of people just don’t understand how hard it’s been for eastern Kentucky but hey what can you do

    5. 4everUKBlue

Around the time that took place, I worked a job where I talked to a lot of coal miners, I listened to the effect it had on their lives. What does a 50 yr old coal miner who has never known anything else do for a living when that is taken away? Like I said magic, both sides are corrupt as hell and one is just as bad as the other. Nothing is what it seems, they’re all paid liars, cheats and thieves.

    6. coal miner

Obama said his self he was going to shut down mines his words not mine true story no what your talking about before trying to belittle someone

    7. coal miner

An American president happy about taking American jobs that’s not right I don’t care what anyone’s political beliefs are

    8. 4everUKBlue

      Agreed miner.

  2. BLUEsky

Hello politicians. You want to know what is unfair? Your corporate cronies paying unlimited amounts of money to help buy your way back into office. One day the people will wake up, and I look forward to that day.

    1. Bobbum Man

      Okay

    2. 4everUKBlue

You’re right but I’m not holding my breath for people to wake AND take action. I think the waking up is more likely than doing anything.

    3. Dolla Bill

      Shhhhh

    4. BLUEsky

If Matt would run as an independent it would be biblical 🙂

    5. MauiCat

Especially all that RUSSIAN money. Looking at you GOP.

    6. BLUEsky

Sorry to hijack this thread but we need a place to vent the recent events. The one party got Matt kicked off tv, now the other party got him kicked off the radio. I officially now do not have anyone to vote for. All other issues aside, that type of behavior makes me literally sick to the stomach and I absolutely despise such arrogance. Rant over.

    7. 4everUKBlue

I no longer vote in any election other than state and local. DC is way out of control and and anyone who doesn’t go along the main players’ agenda will be blackballed at best. As far as presidential, I’m tired of settling for the lesser of two evils.

    8. cats646

MauiCat youre Such a pu$$y. Lol I bet you’re one of the protestors that cussed me as I walked into the Trump rally for no reason. All while telling me I was full of hate haha. You liberals are so hypocritical it’s actually funny. Smh

    9. 4everUKBlue

For the record, I’m not taking any party’s side, both sides are corrupt as hell, one is not better than the other. It’s all a BS that gives the impression that we have a choice, but in the long run the agenda is all the same. That is what people need to wake up to.

    10. TPACAT

That’s what Trump is railing against – unelected deep-state bureaucrats who don’t respect the will of the people because they think they know better and actually run the country…

    11. cats646

I do agree that both sides are corrupt 4ever. That’s why I just vote for the one I hope, and I stress hope, will make me the most money. Also I hate all of the crybaby liberal BS so that usually sways me toward the Republicans. And I was a Trump fan before he became president.

    12. 4everUKBlue

I’m no longer a fan of any elite, they are all evil.

    13. MauiCat

Hey 646, I’d love to see you call me that to my face tough guy. You’re nothing but a blowhard prick who refuses to even acknowledge points people make, but instead resorts to name calling and petty insults just like your corrupt, snowflake president. Honestly, it really is sad how deluded and un-patriotic the whole lot of you are. Maybe you should move to Russia comrade where you can live under Master Putin’s thumb.

    14. TPACAT

He’s your President too, buddy. Like it or not. We had to put up with that commie bastard Obama for 8 years and, God willing, you’re gonna’ get 4 more of Trump.

    15. 4everUKBlue

See what happens? Playing right into their hands, divide and conquer. Do any of you know the state motto? In case there is anyone who doesn’t it is “United we stand, divided we fall”. The powers that should not be are terrified of us all being united but we fall for all the BS agendas and it will be our undoing. Try not believing everything you see and hear in mainstream media, question everything instead of believing it’s real just because someone said so. The television is the most powerful programming weapon ever. Look into it. All the news is controlled. Does anyone really believe they’re learning anything that has not been approved? Look into who owns all the MSM.

    16. cats646

Ha, if I was right and you were a protester at the rally, then I did say it to your face. Also, how do you suppose I never acknowledge points people make? I’ve acknowledged several points on this very thread. And while yes, I agree I call people names on here all the time, you just did the same thing while b!tching about it lol. There’s more of that good ole hypocrisy from you. And un-patriotic?? Monday night I traveled over two hours to watch Lee Greenwood sing “God bless the USA” while our President walked out. That’s probably the most American thing ever lol. And why the hell would I move to Russia? You leftist democrats are the ones voting for communism. Shoot your shot motherfuker but I’m gonna make you look dumb in any argument about this shit because when it comes down to it, you’re so dillusional that you live in your own hypocritical lies yet you don’t even realize it. I hope you can let go of all the hatred you hold in your heart buddy. I really do feel for you. Let me guess, I’m a “racist”? Smh

    17. TPACAT

Yeah, it’s actually easy to defeat these leftists in the arena of ideas. All it takes is common sense and none of them have any…

    18. cats646

I actually completely agree with you forever. I just love arguing too much lol. There is evil on both sides. And they’re all trying to own us.

    19. cats646

*4ever. Wtf was I thinking?? Ha

    20. 4everUKBlue

      Walk away 646.

    21. 4evrUKBlue

Can’t an argument on this topic because none of us know the truth about what is really going on.

    22. cats646

Eh, you’re probably right 4ever. Say what you will MauiCat. I’ve got my opinion and you’ve got yours.

    23. neat1ky

Mauicat, while over in Russia u might run into the Clintons selling more uranium. That’s a fact and that’s not koolaid. Both sides work diff deals with Russia. Get over yourself and let’s get back to sports after that’s what this site started for.

    24. 4everUKBlue

It’s a toss up which family is more evil, the Clintons or the Bush family. If you do some digging you’ll find I’m right, in fact the Bush family and the Clinton family are thick as thieves. But let’s not fool ourselves into believing the Prez does anything other than what he’s told, because if he doesn’t he will be JFK’d in a heartbeat. There are much more powerful people in the world calling the shots than any politician.

    25. TPACAT

This one’s NOT doing what he’s told. That’s why they’re trying so desperately to destroy him…

    26. FlySoup

      Wow. People are stupid.

    27. 4everUKBlue

Oh he’s doing exactly what he’s told, he’s an actor, just look at his bio.

  3. coal miner

They did last night except for one!

  4. JSand7213

Since we can’t comment on the actual article about Matt not being the show here goes. Regardless of which party you associate yourself with you should find this disturbing. Matt has not filed for any election as of today and IHeart should support someone they hav been partners with for years…where is their spine? This can easily be done in a way they clearly stare they do not support any particular person or party for a political office. I typically vote Republican but this disgusts me and if McConnel thought this would benefit him in some way he is sorely mistaken. Much like what McGrath did I feel this will result in lost votes (me for certain), and a loss of respect. Good luck Matt and hope you’re back on soon.

    1. BLUEsky

      Well said. Couldn’t agree more.

    2. 4everUKBlue

If you’re not outraged, you’re not paying attention!

    3. sparky81

      ^^^

  5. TPACAT

Since Matt’s post about Mitch McConnell suppressing his free speech ironically represses all of ours by not allowing comments, I’ll do it here:

Looks like ol’ Matt should’ve stuck to sports! Ha!!! Oh, and I hope Blevin finds a few thousand “misplaced” ballots like in Al Franken’s Senate election!

    1. 4everUKBlue

And be careful what you say on here or they will censor your comment, this is not a free speech zone. My comment about the serial killer was deleted as was 646’s and another person’s.

    2. cats646

Lol. That would be awesome, but I doubt it happens. Luckily Ky hasn’t lost its mind we just put a Democrat in office because all of the teachers were sick of Bevin. At least the republicans won every other election in the state so our new governor shouldn’t be able to accomplish much of his agenda.

    3. cats646

Haha theyre gonna get me for that one 4ever! See ya in a few days! Lol

    4. 4everUKBlue

Or how about W Bush’s gifted win in Florida where his brother was Gov. The Bush’s, Clinton’s and Obama’s were all corrupt as hell, so like I said it’s not just one party, it’s both parties.

    5. TPACAT

Trump’s as close to an Independent as you’ll ever see. Hell, half the Republicans in Washington don’t like him. And, ironically, everybody liked him until he ran as a Republican.

    6. 4everUKBlue

646, if we hit a nerve they will delete all these comments.

    7. cats646

      Lol yep. Sad really

  6. Grazilla

At this point, Matt needs to sh t or get off the pot. I think that’s what Mitch McConnell is trying to do. He’s maybe trying to call his bluff – or if he does jump into the race, he’ll be able to attack him as an outright political foe. I’m not a McConnell apologist. Just looking at it from the political strategy standpoint. Personally, Matt’s been talking about this stuff for so long. I’m weary of hearing “where Matt is today.” We get it. You’re “researching” a run and making it part of your schtik before you have to go all-in and leave it all behind. But it’s time. You’re either in or out. Matt’s politics (or hinted lead-up to a run, and the extended discussion of it – but NOT about it directly) are watering down the radio show. Beyond that, McConnell likely has a legitimate claim that he’s not offered “equal media time” if Matt continues to hint at a run and actively side-promote it, while also raising his profile on public airways.

    1. 4everUKBlue

Mitch is the best argument for term limits and he will crush Matt.

    2. cats646

You’re right. Matt needs to make his mind up soon. Personally I hope he doesn’t run because I love him as a radio show host, but I’ll hate him as a politician lol.

    3. TPACAT

      Exactly how I feel…

    4. TPACAT

You hit it right on the head, Grazilla. And, if he runs, it will be the biggest example of someone throwing away a hard-earned blessing to jump in the mud with a bunch of pigs. But, I’ve always said Matt doesn’t have any common sense. If he did, he wouldn’t be a liberal…

    5. 4everUKBlue

This is what you get when you believe one side is better than the other, always fueled by belief in the propaganda machine that is the mainstream media. As long as people allow them to divide us we will alway be slaves to the system.

    6. TPACAT

As long as half the people love the country and the other half hates it, there will be a divide. What’s YOUR solution?

    7. 4everUKBlue

Stop listening to and believing everything we see and read in the media and start thinking for ourselves. That MY solution.

    8. 4everUKBlue

I don’t believe anyone hates this country, I think people hate the way it’s run by a bunch of corrupt politicians who are lying, stealing and cheating criminals. This is a corporation not a government. Maybe you don’t know there is a difference between the United States and the United States of America. Ever wonder why they don’t call it the United States of America Army or Navy or Air Force?

  7. makeitstop

Matt objects that Mitch is cutting off debate then makes a post and won’t allow comment. Hypocrisy?

    1. cats646

Liberals live in hypocrisy 24/7. They sit on a throne of lies lol

    2. makeitstop

Reagan said “ If communism is that good, why do they have to build walls to keep people in?” But the Left throws stones, disrupts speeches, breaks windows and riots to protest speech and people with whom they disagree. When I was at UVa we used to have very controversial speaker we disagreed with… and we couldn’t wait to go to the event and ask questions (politely) that we thought were stumpers because we valued discourse at Mr. Jefferson’s university. What in the world has become of that? Now you on the website and you took a shot at the majority leader. Discourse and clean UAs doctor. What childish nonsense what color is this what what the actual Jeffersonian democracy. Now you own a website and you take a shot at the majority leader. Then stop all discourse… What childish nonsense… what cowardice… what an affront to actual Jeffersonian democracy. Look up the definition of hypocrisy.

    3. makeitstop

Wow – lots of weird typos that weren’t there… what I said was “ now u own a website and make a post then shut down discourse and claim ur a victim…” hey maybe it was the Russians?

    4. RealCatsFan

Do you think if Rush or Hannity ran a web site they would allow you to post comments with a liberal bias? What about if you call their radio show and have a viewpoint that goes against theirs? They have screeners who hand pick the people who get through. They all do it. What’s sad is that the Turtle is so soft shelled that he has to squelch someone else’s right to free speech, while he equates free speech to his campaign donations. Talk about hypocrites!

    5. TPACAT

Rush and Hannity gladly debate the other side. It’s a fun game to them. And, easy since there’s little logic to left wing ideology. Like a cat toying with a mouse…

    6. 4everUKBlue

No they would not but Rush and Hannity also don’t go off on a sports rant on a daily basis.

    7. 4everUKBlue

I just used those two as an example, I’ve never listened either and I would never listen to a show of any kind with politics as there main topic.

  8. BeingReal

I enjoy you and your radio show. Love your side-crew too! However, I don’t think you realize how political you get. You often say no politics on your show, but then when you want to talk politics you do. Today I thought the 15 min you spent dogging Bevin you were at your worse. The other hr & 45 min was great! But frankly I’m a Republican and your comments were nearly enough for me to turn the channel. Very close! Your TV show pretty much had a nightly segment downing Matt Bevin. I had to stop watching. I also had a lot of friends that quit watching too because of the constant negative attacks by you and your guest on the Republican party. Today, you spoke like your opinion was the truth and the only way to determine the election results. I couldn’t of disagreed more! You need to understand your opinions are only your opinions. You have no great higher knowledge of understanding politics than many of your viewers do. I agree whole-heartily with Senator McConnell. You need to take a break until you decide your political future. Also, if you return, I’d suggest you, Ryan, Shannon and Drew all refrain from politics. Most all listeners I believe would enjoy your show even more. Please take this a constructive advise & my opinion. Regardless, best of luck for your future Matt!

    1. 4everUKBlue

There should be no politics allowed on the show, I hate politics and I no longer identify with either side so I always turn it off when they talk politics. If Matt wants to talk politics he should get a new show like Russ or Hannity any of those other propagandists.

    2. makeitstop

Completely agree. Matt some of us know a little something about that business. Run if it’s your calling but ur business is gone. Run ur business and u can always comment on politics. If u lose ur one big race u know what they call u? Loser. If u run a successful business they call u “sir.” And they listen. Up to u.

    3. TPACAT

I did turn it off. He either doesn’t think about that, or doesn’t care. I like Matt, and want to continue to like Matt, so when he gets political I just turn it off because I’m so disappointed in his support for what has now basically turned into the democratic socialist/communist party.

  9. Johnny C

I feel bad that it’s come to this. I wish that Matt would forget about politics and just go back to being the highly entertaining individual whom I used to look forward to listening to every day. Now it may be over for good, for no good reason. Matt, you and your insights are the reason that your show became a huge success and as much as I love your co hosts I can’t see it succeeding, which will be a great loss for Kentucky sports fans. How about we just act like none of this ever happened and go back to the way things used to be lol. Seriously.

    1. RealCatsFan

I’m in agreement with this, but the genie may be out of the bottle. IMO, it is nearly social suicide to run for public office these days. You can argue that you have to be crazy or a power hungry narcissist to run for office. Normal people are generally discouraged from serving their country in office because they know they will have their reputations assassinated by opponents. This is sad because our founding fathers envisioned our government being run by the people for the people. What we have now is simply a Roman Roman Coliseum of politics and the professional politicians are the gladiators.

    2. TPACAT

Well, Matt is a narcissist. So, he’s qualified in that respect…

  10. mashburnfan1

Sad one of the greatest to ever play here has a thread and all comments are just about a bunch of BS that means nothing. Josh I am happy you are coming back, hope BBN will show up {maybe if it was crooked politics they would all be there}, was great to see you play in Cincy and thinking about making the trip to Indy on 11-17. A true UK GOAT, welcome back.

    1. 4everUKBlue

And faster than you can say mashbum sucks d!ck, he shows up. If only you knew anything other than the lies and hate you spew…

    2. 4everUKBlue

One more thing douche bag, what we are talking about is much more important than any sports topic, but you’re not intelligent enough to figure that out.

    3. RealCatsFan

Well, I do agree that it’s cool tha Josh is coming back.

    4. 4everUKBlue

I agree with that as well RCF but mashbum is still an idiot.

  11. notFromhere

Josh Allen coming back for the game has ME pumped up! Great kid! Great Wildcat! Hope you enjoy the game, Josh!

  12. notFromhere

Anyone else love the irony and hypocrisy that people on here are talking about “hating it when they discuss politics on a sports show” and yet they are ruining a thread about sports? No….? We now return you to your regularly scheduled blindcast… broadcast.

    1. 4everUKBlue

This wouldn’t have happened had he not closed the comments on his announcement.

  13. AreJ

Well as far as this specific article, I’m PUMPED for Saturday! I think we are going to have a BIG crown and have a great chance to hand it to Tennessee. This weekend can finalize for a few of these recruits what we are doing is real!

  14. AreJ

As far as the Matt thing, it is very upsetting because instead of focusing on the fact we have a way to long tenured Senator whom is literally strong arming a Radio host off of his job because he is considering a run at him we are bitching and name calling. I’m not sure I’d even vote for Matt but at the end of the day Politicians was never meant to be a career and for those that argue Mr. Jones is “unqualified” please keep in mind each and every elected official was meant to be a representation of the peoples. That means they are; plumbers, teachers, lawyers, managers, average working people and yet that now isn’t the case. As 4ever mention above everything we read and hear has been filtered and approved to tailor to an audience or push a certain message. I hate the nonsense bickering when the simple fact is it is easier to control and conquer if you divide and separate. We need to think independently and thoughtfully for one another, that is how change will occur. Not that I or my opinion matter but now you have my two cents, spend it wisely ?

  15. ukwildcat1991

This is politics. It’s taking Matt to long to figure out if he is running or not. Mitch is probably aggravated about that. Also Matt and his co hosts blasted Bevin on the show a few times last week. So what is the other party suppose to do? Well file a complaint. U can’t talk politics on a radio show and not expect anyone not to feel like they are being cheated. Yes, it’s a low blow to Matt but this is what politics is. Either u get hit and fight back or you act like a child and write a long post on ksr and complain about it. I don’t think Matt has the backbone for politics but I’m no politician, I’m just giving u my opinion
